MARRIAGE?! (Papyrus X Reader)

This story is based off a Mettaton X Papyrus comic I found on YouTube and it's so damn cute!

Papyrus sat early at the table, waiting for you to finish cooking your spaghetti. After draining the noodles into the strainer, Papyrus became giddy and excited, clapping his hands.

"OH (Y/N) THOSE LOOK MAGNIFICENT!" Papyrus says, lovely staring at you as you pour some pasta sauce on top of them after putting a handful of noodles on a plate for him.

"I hope you like it, Papyrus! I saw a recipe online and thought to give it a try. Hopefully it's the way you like them." You say, placing the plate in front of him with a fork. You sit on the other side, giggling at how he suddenly became quite serious with the plate of spaghetti.

Papyrus twirls the spaghetti onto the fork and takes a bite, chewing with his eyes close in order to taste the flavor fully. "HMM..." It made you nervous, you wanted to impress him!

"WOWIE! AS AN EXPRET ON SPAGHETTI COOKERY, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE (Y/N!" Papyrus says, admiring you as he takes another bite of spaghetti.
"Oh I'm so happy you like it! I did learn everything from the best after all! I have to print out that recipe I saw, of course not following it completely since I want to cook the spaghetti your way." You laugh and he chuckles, chewing on more pasta.

After swallowing, Papyrus twirls more noodles and hold the plate up to his face.  "I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM SURE THAT YOU WOULD MAKE A MAGNIFICENT COOK AND WIFE IN OUR FUTURE MARRIAGE! NYEH HEH!" He confidently speaks, taking in yet another bite.

Wait a second...marriage?! We've only started dating about a month ago!

"F-Future marriage?!" I you squeak to him, making sure you actually heard him correctly and that you weren't hearing things. You got you confirmation when Papyrus stopped chewing and his whole skull became bright orange, and he let out an awkward sound.

"D-DUTIES!"
"What?-"
"YES!! I-I JUST REMEMBERED THERE ARE APPARENTLY M-MORE GUARD DUTIES THAT NEED TO BE DONE!"
"But you just got home! Look Papy, just calm down and we can talk about this, it's okay!"

Papyrus jumped out of his seat and bolted to the window. "THERE'S NOTHING TO DISCUSS, FAREWELL (Y/N)!"
"NO WAIT DON'T-"

And with that, Papyrus jumps out the window of your home. You hear him hit the ground with a loud "OOF!" He then lets out a "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" Then you hear him sprint away due to his loud footsteps.

You stare at the broken glass on the floor. Sighing, you went to the closet and take out a broom and pan. Papyrus really needed to cut this window-jumping habit out, it was starting to become expensive!
However, Papyrus never really became to flustered over things in your relationship. If anything, he was completely comfortable with, only a little nervous and shaky at first. When you two talked, he would always want to cuddle with you and wrap his arms around your body and rest his chin on top of your head. Normally, you two wouldn't really discuss the future of your relationship with each other. The only thing that has ever been discussed was that you were going to teach him how to kiss, well, the best way he can since he's a skeleton. Of course it was awkward at first, but now kissing each other is a daily ritual.

You needed to talk to him, seeing Papyrus and knowing Papyrus in this state could be dangerous. He could get hurt due to all the window jumping. Then it occurred to you, he's a literal skeleton and he wouldn't get scratches or cuts like a human can. But you needed to regardless check on him, you live him too much to leave him alone like this.

After cleaning the mess, you out on your jacket and start making your way to Snowdin Town.

You see Sans, leaving the house looking very dumbfounded. When he sees you, he shouts "what the fuck happened."
You try your hardest not to laugh, but told him that you would explain everything to him. You noticed him eye becoming slightly blue, and you reassure him that it's nothing serious at all and that you and Papyrus had a simple miscommunication...kinda.
