I slipped back around the corner from where I peeked through the doorway, making sure not to make a sound. I quickly formed into a shadow and teleported to the windowsill, slipping out unnoticed. Father will be happy about this.
I stretched my wings and flew to the house where my father lives. I don't live with him, unfortunately, because it could foil the plan if we are caught. So I just roam around, picking up information here and there. My human disguise allows me to walk among the humans unsuspecting.
I opened the door and gently closed it behind me as I walked into the building. It's more of a church, really, but it works as a home base. Pacing behind the altar is my father - a demon with large red wings.
"Dad!" I said, "I have news!"
My father looked up and saw me. "Ah, Dusk. What have you found?"
"You're right," I continued, "Socks is one of us."
Father (we'll call him that for now. I won't give away his identity) smiled deviously. "Interesting," he said, "What hybrid?"
"Angel and Demon, by the looks of it," I said, "And I found his weak point, too."
"Weak point?" Father chuckled, "Good, Dusk. Continue."
"It's Blaza," I replied, "I saw them together - they are very close, I can tell."
Father walked down from the altar and stood in front of me. "How close?" He asked.
"Very," I said.
"Perfect," Father chuckled, "Looks like our plan is going better than we had imagined."
"What even is the plan, again?" I asked, "And, why are we doing it? I really don't understand, I don't feel like these guys have done anything to us in the past..."
Father sighed. "Dusk, you'll never learn if you don't listen to what I say. But very well," he said, "Many, many centuries ago, we roamed this planet. Hybrids and Purebloods, all together, living in harmony. But then, the humans showed up.
" The humans weren't a threat at first, but soon they grew smarter. As they evolved, they saw our kind as more and more of a threat to their 'perfect' society. Soon, they were hunting us down, determined to wipe us all out.
"We were forced to leave this planet. Only a few made it to that point. Miraculously, we found Xero. Where we lived together again. Until I started the war, however. Oh, how I miss those days... But our duty is here."
Father turned back to me. "Dusk, do you understand why we must do this now?"
I smiled. "Yes, dad. But what does Socks have to do with any of this?"
"They trust him," Father replied, "And with him so close to the group, I can make him kill much easier. Easier to control him."
"Hm," I said, "Okay."
"Now go back and find more information," he said, "You never know what you might find."
I gave an army style salute. "I won't let you down!"
"I trust that you won't," Father said.

I observed the two before slipping back around the door frame.
So he is a hybrid... and he has a weakness. Father will be pleased at my findings.
Making sure no one else had awoken and come down the hall, I swiftly allowed myself to melt into the shadows and teleport unnoticed to the window, where the darkness ended. I slid it open and slipped out, my feet hitting the soft grass outside before I spread my wings and took flight. A chilled night time breeze brushed past me with each beat of my wings as I flew over the Earthen landscape below.
