I'm walking to class like any other day, and then I see him. He looks as if he is an angel from heaven. He has dark marks on his arms that I can't make out. He is dressed like a biker. " Hey AJ, what are you staring at?" said Maddy. Oh, nothing just that new kid. What's his name? His name is Jayce he moved here from New York. "Come on, we're going to be late to history." I walk in and sit in my usual seat. The new kid Jayce sits right next to me. "Hello, I'm Jayce," he said. "Hi... I'm Angelica, but my friends call me AJ." His hair is jet black with golden streaks in it, its down to his shoulder. "What are those marks on your arm?" As soon as I said it I regretted it, his face got all contorted and looked like he just smelled something really bad. "Uhh, you can see them?" "Yeah," I replied "can't everyone else see them?" He just stared at me for a minute like I had just said the weirdest thing in the world. I was so confused, so I just looked away and started drawing on my paper. I didn't understand what was up with that boy. He later apologized and said most people didn't pay attention to him and never asked him about his marks. What ever that means. I'm walking to my car when I notice him walk towards the woods. "Hey!" called Maddy "Where are you going?" "Oh no where, just taking a walk in the woods." She stared at me knowing the fear I have of being in the woods alone, especially at night. "Uh, ok see you later," she said. I hear the sounds of nature as I walk into the woods. They always give me the creeps, but today I am determined not to chicken out. I see him resting his head against a tree. "Hey!" I call out. "What are you doing?" He jerks up his head and stares blankly at me. He has something on his face, but I can't quite make it out. It looks like some liquid or something. "You shouldn't be here," he replied "I think you should get out before you get hurt." Hurt? Why would I get hurt? He keeps staring at me his eyes are golden. I realize the stuff on his face looks like blood. "Are you ok?" "Did you get into a fight?" Now he looked mad. "No, I just tripped and hit my face on a rock," he said with a frightened look in his eyes, "don't worry about me." Then he was gone. He just disappeared. I decided to go home. I got home and did my homework and practiced my Cello like any other night. I still couldn't seem to get his face out of my mind. I went to sleep that night and dreamed about some medieval stuff we learned about in history, but the demons in this story had Jayce's face.
