"It's a miracle!" The doctor explained "Simply a medical miracle!" The doctor said, "Somehow almost all your injuries healed overnight!" Astrid pretended to be dumbfounded "Almost?" "Yes, almost" The doctor showed him a picture, across his face was a faded yellow scar that went down his neck and arm. "The melanin in your left eye seems to have mutated!" Astrid remembered being back inside the ship and feeling his eyes being literally cooked in their sockets, his left eye felt the hottest, and the most painful. Astrid decided to keep that to himself as the doctor talked more. "Your body temperature has quickly almost doubled which would typically be a sign of heat stroke but you show no synonyms other than body temperature." Maybe my brain's been fried and is just waiting for the body to catch up, Astrid jokingly thought. "So can I go home now?" Astrid said "Sir we need to run some tests-" "No! I-I don't want anyone to look into this any further..." Astrid sighed and walked out. He got some new clothes which mostly consisted of a white long sleeve, black pants, and some sneakers, But hey! He told himself, It's better than the hospital gown. He was just walking out when he felt something get placed at the back of his head "Give me all your money right now!" What- ok that was it. First, he gets stuck on Venus, then he crashes into the sun, encounters those talking planets, and finds out he probably has literal superpowers, and now this?!?! No No, this was too much for one day. He grabbed the gun and swiftly took it from the robber. Then turned to him, grabbed his arm, and swung him around before throwing. Astrid expected to fall short, maybe he'd fly a few feet but nothing spectacular.

It was spectacular.

After throwing him he flew further and further until Astrid couldn't see him anymore. "Uh-" He dropped the gun "Sorry-"

He'd finally made it home safe, after buying some eye contacts. He didn't know why but, he felt like his wife didn't need any more stress in her life, she'd had to raise their son on her own after he left Earth for the mission. Maybe he could make up for it or- He pulled himself out of his thoughts and took a deep breath "Just ring the doorbell, Astrid. You can do it." He told himself. With a shaky finger, he pressed the doorbell "Honey?" Taffy gasped (That's what I hc Astrowife's name is btw) "Hey Taf." Astrid said nervously "Astrid oh!" Taffy hugged her husband "I thought you were dead! I hadn't seen or heard of you in weeks!" Taffy exclaimed. Wait weeks? He'd only been in the hospital for a day- Astrid expression changed to worry, how long was he out for? just as he thought that his son stepped out too to meet his father, "Hey there little guy!" Astrid laughed and picked him up. A few hours after he got home, he was sitting in the piano chair in the spare room. He didn't know why, he just felt calm here. He started pressing random keys on the piano, hoping it would somehow convey a song. He felt safe. But in reality, Astrid couldn't escape the cold hands of fate and the things it had in store for him. He felt like taking a walk to calm down after basically everything that had happened but as soon as he walked out who else does he see but the entire solar system! Astrid yelped in fear and walked straight back through the door and slammed it shut. "Astrodude come out! We just wanna talk!" Mars shouted. "No No NO! I'm not talking to any of you-" "We're worried about you!" Mars said, "...WHAT?" Astrid rasped "We've been worried ever since you escaped Venus man, We just wanna talk, We promise" Mars smiled. "F-Fine!" Astrid said, admitting defeat against the Red Planet and opening the door.
