"Hey Clyde, what's this you have here?" Clyde looked up and saw a purple haired girl, with her hair at the length of her chest. She was dressed in complete black. "Oh hi Amelia!" They smiled when they saw her. They had pretty long hair, but it wasn't quite at their shoulder just yet. Their hair was a mint green color, and their clothing was a bit unique, a plaid shirt with a crop top tank top. They had ripped jeans on as well, their shoes were the most unique out of all of them, they were bright pink. Clyde adjusted their round glasses on their face. "I'm making an AI. What is it that you need Amelia?" The girl chuckled a little. "Nothing, is it really bothering you that I'm just checking up on my Non-binary friend?" Clyde rolled their eyes. "Yeah as if, what is it that you need this time? Did you break your hoverboard again?" The purple haired girl chuckled. "As if, it only broke because I almost got it and ended up falling into a ditch! I'm more careful than you think. But seriously this time it isn't something I need." She rubbed the back of her neck and blushed a little. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out, but as it seems you are busy right now I alrea—" Amelia was cut off by Clyde before she could finish. "Just let me finish this spot real quick, and then yeah sure, we can." They looked up at her with a grin. "I'm really close to finishing what I have in thought." Amelia looked away to hide the fact that she was blushing. She really needs to stop being such a gay wreck around them, it's just that they are really cute. This time she's gonna try and ask them out, she doesn't care about the risks, she just needs to know if they like her back or not. "And done!" Clyde finished with a big type on the enter key. "That was a lot quicker than I thought it would go, so that's great!" They closed their laptop and put it in their bag and threw the bag over their shoulder. "So where to now, Ami?" Amelia blushed. "Clydeeee, you know I hate that name!" Clyde chuckled. "I know, I know. I just like teasing you." They patted her shoulder, and whispered in her ear. "I just like seeing your reaction, cutie." They continued walking past Amelia, as she burned up, and tried to speak without stuttering. "H-H-Hey! C-Clyde!" She ran to catch up with the mint green haired enby. "You can't say things like that!" They looked over at her and smiled. "Why can't I? You seem to like it, very obviously." Amelia blushed. "Shut it dumbass." Clyde scoffed in response, pretending to be offended. "How dare you call me that, you know how smart I am." They both giggled together for a bit. They soon arrived at the top of a hill. "So why did you want to come here exactly?" Clyde said as they leaned against the tree on top of the hill. "Well, you remember this place?" Amelia walked over to the tree and moved her hand over an engraving. It was both Clyde's and Amelia's first initial carved into the tree, showing their friendship. Clyde looked over at the sunset. "Why wouldn't I?" They then moved their head to face Amelia. "This is the place I met you" Their smile killed Amelia, it always somehow manages to melt her heart. "Yeah, the place where we met for the first time." She stood up and walked over to a patch of grass overlooking the sunset, and sat down. "The chance of us not running into each other was very high, but we ended up meeting each other, it's crazy isn't it?" Clyde walked over and sat next to her, a little too close for comfort. "You know, for once how about we ignore the statistics?" Amelia chuckled. "Who are you? And what did you do with Clyde?" Clyde smirked, and raised their arms up as if they were a monster. "I am the evil villian in this story muahahaha, now it's time for you to join your friend." They both fell onto the grass, laying down laughing. "You know, it didn't really hit me until now." Clyde looked over at the purple haired girl. "Your eyes are the same color as the stars, so therefore your eyes are bright like a star." Amelia sat up immediately, and looked away blushing. "Ok you got this, you can ask them." When she turned back around Clyde was right there smiling. "I umm... uhh..." Amelia started struggling even saying a word. Clyde looked over at her and started blushing, then looked up into the sky. "So, I've been, umm, thinking for a while and umm." They rubbed the back of their neck and nervously smiled while looking at Amelia. "I want to know, and well umm, do you wanna go out with me?" The enby looked down at the floor immediately after saying that. Amelia sat there with her mouth open, frozen, unable to say anything. Clyde stood up from the ground looking at their phone, still blushing. "I'm really sorry, but I..." Tears started forming across their face. "I need to go, like right now, and you probably should start heading home as well. I'm really sorry Amelia." They look away, unable to look at Amelia. "I wish this wasn't happening, but it is." They looked up into the sky. "Please promise me this, that you will stay alive and stay safe. Goodbye Amelia, I don't know when we'll see each other again but goodbye, and I love you." They began running down the hill towards town. Amelia looked at Clyde and reached her hand out to them. "I love you too." She didn't say it loud enough for Clyde to hear, but she got up, and made her way down the hill when she noticed something in the sunset. It was some sort of giant figure, like a ship or something.
