Stan and Kyle had been best friends since they were kids. They did everything together, from playing video games to going on crazy adventures. They were the ultimate duo, and everyone in town knew it.
As they grew older, Stan started to feel a different type of love for Kyle, a love that he had never felt before. He tried to push it aside, thinking it was just a phase, but the more he tried to ignore it, the stronger it became.
One day, while hanging out with Kyle, Stan couldn't keep it to himself any longer. He confessed his feelings to Kyle, expecting the best. But to his surprise, Kyle didn't feel the same way.
"I'm sorry, Stan," Kyle said, looking down at his feet. "I just don't feel that way about you."
Stan felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest. He had hoped that Kyle would feel the same way, but now he felt like he had ruined their friendship.
- TIME SKIP -
After Stan's confession, things between him and Kyle were awkward. They still hung out, but it wasn't the same as it used to be. Stan felt like he was constantly walking on eggshells, worried that he would say or do something to make things worse.
Kyle, on the other hand, felt guilty. He didn't want to hurt Stan, but he just couldn't force himself to feel something that wasn't there.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Stan tried to move on, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he still loved Kyle.
One day, Kyle came over to Stan's house. They sat down on the couch, both of them feeling nervous.
"Stan, I need to talk to you," Kyle said, his voice shaking slightly.
"What is it?" Stan asked, looking at Kyle with concern.
"I've been thinking about what you said, and...I think I might have feelings for you too," Kyle said, his eyes meeting Stan's.
Stan couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had thought that Kyle would never feel the same way, but now here he was, admitting that he had feelings for him too.
They both leaned in, their lips meeting in a soft, tender kiss. It was like all of the years of tension had been building up to this moment, and now they were finally able to be together.
Stan and Kyle's relationship blossomed quickly. They were happy just being together, and they didn't care what anyone else thought.
They went on dates, held hands while walking down the street, and cuddled on the couch while watching TV. They were in love, and nothing was going to change that.
Their friends and family were surprised, but they were also supportive. They could see how happy Stan and Kyle were together, and they knew that their love was genuine.
- 5 DAYS LATER -
As they walked hand in hand down the street, Stan and Kyle talked about their future together. They wanted to go to college, maybe even move to a big city and start a new life.
But for now, they were happy just being together in their small town. They still went on crazy adventures, still played video games until the early morning hours, and still laughed until their sides hurt.
They had gone from best friends to lovers, and they wouldn't have it any other way. They knew that they were meant to be together, and they were excited to see what the future held for them.
