MEGAN POV

"Oohhhh I saw that" Austin says smirking at me
"What?" I ask giggling
"That eye contact. And that you look beautiful as always... mmhm you still want that man" Alyssa says

"But it's still on you too Austin... why don't you just talk to him" Alyssa adds causing Austin to roll his eyes as we walk to the cafe after leaving his boyfriend

"Why? He hasn't stepped to me, so why should I?"
"Because you made it difficult for him to. Remember he asked for your forgiveness, brought you a ring and all and you still walked away from him. He apologized"

"Um I'm sorry get me up to speed on this" I ask confused

"Well Austin and Marcus, one of the African American studies professors we're a thing.... Marcus was still dealing with his sexuality so he didn't tell his family. So Austin didn't like when he was around his family he'll say he's his friend, not his boyfriend"

"Oh gotcha! But Austin, if he asked for your forgiveness why not just see if he changed... by seeing if he did tell his family about his sexuality"

"Because I don't believe it"
"But you won't know till you try and see right"
"Mmhmm sounds like someone need to take their own advice... give Kellon a chance to make things right"

"Nah.....not for us....we're better this way" I say putting my head down knowing I miss him so much

Walking into the house behind Alyssa I lock the door behind me but hear laughter. Laughter of the person I wish didn't evade my mind.

Alyssa smirks at me knowing it too so she skips quickly to the kitchen announcing that we're there.

I walk in slowly into the kitchen and there is everyone smiling. Oh gosh I know where's this is going.

"Hey Megan"
"Hi Professor"
"I was wondering if we can talk"

I nod my head as we both slowly head out to the front of the house. I quickly sit on the steps that lead up to the house and he does the same next to me.

"I have something for you" he says handing me a big vanilla envelope

Opening it it's a DNA test. Showing that he's not the father of his ex's child.

"I wanted to prove to you that it wasn't my child. That I didn't sleep with her but that one time I told you about. I slipped up and felt weak. But that was before us. I still care for you Megan...and even if we don't go back to being as close as we was; I still want to be apart of your life. I still wanna support you through it all"

"Thank you...you really didn't have to do this for me"
"But I did. I had to, cause I care for you Megan. I really do"

I feel a tear fall from my eye and I quickly wipe it away.

"We can give us a try....but slow" I say as he smiles widely at me
"So....can I kiss you?"
"No! I said slow" I say laughing as he wraps his arm around me hugging me making me giggle

"Okay whatever you want baby girl, I'm willing to do"
"Anything?"
"Anything" he says smirking at me

I know just what he's about to do. And I can't wait. I stand up and turn to face him.

"Come on we gotta go before they close" I say trying to pull him to stand
"Close?"
