Today I'm moving to a new town. I decided to start my own journal to catalog all my adventures in my new town. I'm currently just jotting down little bits of info as I ride the bus to Cocotown, where, if I'm lucky, my stuff is being unloaded in front of my tiny house. It's supposedly only about the size of one room at my old house, but that just means I'll have to keep some stuff in storage until I can afford to get my house expanded. I don't mind though, I've always liked small, cozy homes and since it's early summer I'll have plenty of time for earning money.
"Hi there!" I looked up from my journal to see a friendly looking cat.
"Hiya!" I replied cheerily, "What's up?" The blue kitty smiled at me before answering.
"I didn't have anyone to talk to and since you're sitting alone I thought I'd come sit with you. I'm Rover, what's your name?" Rover offered a small kitten paw for me to shake and we shook hands before I replied.
"I'm Vanna-Sara, just Vanna for short, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too Vanna, where are you off to may I ask?"
"I'm moving to Cocotown," I stated simply.
"I hope you enjoy it there. Cocotown is a huge chocolate making town, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone there ate tons of the stuff," Rover chuckled.
"Yeah," I laughed along with him, "The town's chocolate is one of my favorites, that's one of the reasons I'm moving there." He nodded understandingly and the bus came to a stop at Cocotown.
"Good luck Vanna, hopefully I'll see you again." I nodded in agreement and hopped off the bus.
The town was beautiful; large trees and brightly colored flowers dotted the landscape before me and since it was later in the day the entire town seemed shrouded in a layer of magenta from the setting sun. I slowly strolled through the town not only enjoying each breath of fresh, clean air, but also taking in all that I could see, from the lightning bugs prancing in the evening light to each blade of grass dancing in the early night's wind. I eventually made it to my home to find a large group of animals there, they all seemed to be helping take my stuff into my home.
"Um excuse me?" I spoke quizzically, not wanting to sound rude since it was supposed to rain later and I'm not one to turn away help. A tiny blonde dog, who I instantly recognized as Isabelle, the mayor's assistant, stopped directing the other animals and walked over to me.
"Oh you must be Vanna! Oh I'm sorry we're messing with your things it's just supposed to rain later and we just thought . . ," she rambled on shaking worried at the thought of upsetting me.
"It's ok Isabelle, I appreciate it really!" She perked up and smiled.
"Oh I'm sorry for rambling then, I tend to do that . . , we're almost done unpacking, but if you want to go meet everyone they'd be happy to talk to you."
"Ok, will do."
I spent a good amount of time introducing myself to all my new neighbors. Finally, they all started to leave and I felt relieved as that meant I could finally rest. The last out was a large lion.
"I'll see you later ladybro," he said before heading off. I'll write again tomorrow.
