Uzi's Awakening

Scene opens on your clothes, and Uzi's clothes, on the ground outside, with you and Uzi, wings out, lowering towards them.

"So, Uzi, how was airborne sex?"

"Not my cup of tea, please never make me do that again," Uzi giggles, "but I'll admit it was kinda fun~!"

"That's fair!"

"By the way, Y/N, can you ask V a question for me? I can suck you off if that's what it'll take to get you to ask her."

"No need. What do you wanna know?"

"...who is Cyn?"

Cut to you and V after a sex session.

"That was fun, Y/N~"

"Likewise~ By the way, Uzi wanted me to ask you something."

"Of course. What does that thing wanna know this time?"

"Who is Cyn?"

V sits there, with a horrified expression.

"...V?"

"I... don't wanna talk about it."

"If you say so... I'll go let Uzi know. Are you gonna be ok after I asked you that?"

"I appreciate the concern, but I'll be fine."

Cut to you with Uzi. After helping her get better at flying, and after finding out together that her rampage from the camping trip was caused by her emotions, you sense a pulse of electromagnetic energy. Shoving Uzi out of its range, you sprout your wings, but before you can escape, you're caught in the pulse, and begin to collapse. The last thing you hear is Uzi calling your name...

...and when you wake up, there's a different voice calling your name. A familiar one. One you thought - you hoped - you'd never hear again.

"...J?"

"Finally, you're awake. Just stay in your chains while we both wait impatiently for Tessa to show up and reset your memory."

"...Tessa's here...?"

"Yeah! Why?"

"...she used me as a sex robot for years without my consent. Back at the mansion. That's why she was gone so often."

"...oh. Sorry to hear that. I'll talk to her about it after she resets your memory."

"Out of curiosity, do you have any idea what the humans plan to do with us once the workers are dead?"

"...you're sounding like N."

"Listen. They sent us without a method of communication. They reformatted our memories, scrambled them all up. They never taught us how to land our pods. Apart from Tessa, it doesn't seem like any of the humans give a damn about us. They created Absolute Solver to heal us from everything EXCEPT overheating. It sounds to me like they intended for us to finish our mission, not have any oil left, overheat, and die. Does that sound like love to you?"

J just sits there as everything she thought she knew crumbles around her.

"That's not all, J. Have you heard of Zombie Drones, or as I like to call them, Hybrid Drones?"

"...n-no, what are they...?"

"Prolonged exposure to a Disassembly Drone can grant a Worker Drone powers similar to my unique ones."

"So, telekinesis?"

"At first, that's all it is. But over time, the Worker Drone will gain oil cravings. Then, wings and a prehensile tail with a second mouth on it. They begin to overheat, just like us. And their killing outbursts are triggered by their emotions."

"How... how do you know all of this, Y/N...?"

"...two things. First, there's a JC Jensen training tape for technicians at the company. It expressly says to not show it to any Drones. It goes into detail about Zombie Drones."

"And secondly?"

"...Uzi, one of my romantic partners, became one just a few days ago."

J has an angry blush on her visor for a moment, but then goes back to looking shocked and scared. "So... what do we do...?"

"...we run. Away from Tessa, away from this pod, back to the others. My friends. I'll go in first, because I want to let them know you're on our side now. That... is the case, right?"

"I... suppose so... huh, me with friends..." J says that last part mostly to herself.

"Alright. So, uh, can you let me out?"

"...sure..." J unlocks your chains and you spread your wings and take her hand.

"Let's go," you tell J. "Back to the others."

Uzi is walking outside, searching, when she sees what she believes to be J flying you somewhere.

And almost instantly, she loses control. Her wings and tail come out, and her eyes become one large, violet X. "Let him go."

"Uzi?" You ask. "Uzi, calm down babe, J's on our side now!"

"How do I know you weren't just factory reset? J's tricked others before you. She planted a virus on N, for instance."

"I KNOW." You've never heard J shout before. It's kind of frightening. "AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT. AND I KNOW AN APOLOGY WON'T FIX IT, BUT I AM SORRY. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE COMPANY WAS LIKE. BUT YOUR BOYFRIEND IS HELPING ME UNDERSTAND. PLEASE, CALM DOWN."

Uzi uses her Absolute Solver abilities to slam J into the ground, and scuttles towards her. "Just shut up and stay dead for once."

Uzi lunges in for the kill, but you get in the way, taking the hit for the terrified J.

"Y/N, STEP ASIDE." Uzi is trying to scuttle past you, but you don't let up.

"No, Uzi. She's with us."

Uzi snarls, but she does end up retracting her tail, and then her wings, and walks away without another word, sprouting her wings again and flying back towards the colony.

"Well, J, at least now we know which direction we need to go."

"How the hell did she manage to score someone like you?"

"Good question. To answer, an emotional connection."

"Fair enough. Now let's get going before Tessa finds us."

"Fine by me, J."
