"Maxon?" I say as I turn around.
"Yes, My dear." He says
"Still not your dear" I say in a slightly annoyed voice.
"Oh, yes that's right." He laughs as he says this.
I look at him slightly confused then say "so why did you want me here again?"
"Because, I want to prove to you that I am worthy of your hand."
"Well nothing that you do will prove you worthy, you already broke my heart I don't need it broken again."
"America, do you realize what you just said. I break your heart once and I don't get my apology accepted, but you break my heart millions of times and I have accepted your apology millions of times. Don't you think I deserve my apology accepted."
"Well when you put it that way."
"Okay then you will stay here for awhile and try to make this work out?"
"Okay, but only 4 months if it doesn't work out, or takes longer than 4 months to work it out, I am going back home got it."
"Got it." He says with his hands up mocking surrender.
"Now may I take you to dinner America?" He says
"You may." I reply
He smiles like a two year old on Christmas. He puts his arm out and I gladly accept his gesture. We walk all the way to the grand hall with almost no talking when he decides to speak.
"You know I never stopped thinking about you when you left."
"So I've heard."
"Who told you?" He says
"Oh several people Aspen, the maids, and one guard."
"Oh... I am going to have a talk with them spilling my royal secrets." He says sarcastically
I can't help but laugh.
"I missed that laugh of yours to, I also missed this."
He leans in and slowly pecks me on the lips and pulls out looking for approval. I smile giving him the sign that it's okay to kiss me. He smiles back and wraps his arms around me.
"I've missed us so much."
