His Golden Rose: (Cedric Diggory)

Chapter One

I was running through a forest, trying to get away from the sight I had just seen, but it had and will always follow me in my dreams. I already knew this was a dream, but it always feels so real, this dream was the day my mother was murdered in front of me. She was the closest family member I had, my father was already gone. Just as I was about to get to the gate of my cousins' house, I awoke with wetness all over my body.

" well she's awake now." said my older cousin Mylan Zalaskas.

"But our job isn't finished just yet Lan" stated my other cousin Valerie, she started to jump on my bed, tripping on my foot and falling off the bed.

" welp, that was anti-climactic," Mylan said while getting off my bed and starting towards the door.

" Mylan Lucas Timeo Zalaskas, you will help me off this floor immediately, or else I so help me will bring your fruity butt down here with me." Val threatened.

This series of events happens a lot in our house, especially since the day I moved in with Aunt Stella- my guardian since my mother died. We have a lot of prank wars and fun here, as three now 11-year-olds, in one house, is a lot of chaos and trouble. Val is the youngest, she was born on May 14, 2002. Mylan is the oldest, born October 16, 2001. I was born on January 10, 2002- as the middle child.

All of us have files, as a part of The Magic Society of The Heart of Europe- it's a small society documenting those who live in the countries of Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, Hungria, Austria, and a couple more. This is where our heritage and species are the most prominent. But this Society keeps us safe and is connected with our societies like the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) and The Ministry of Magic. This is why my family was able to emigrate from Czechia during the Soviet reign back in the 1990s. Now we have files in two societies. Aunt Stella made sure that I at least knew what these files contained, and let me see them.

My Aunt Stella works for the MSHE, as a detective of living environments and social work- and as she's my guardian I got briefed. Now back to the matter at hand with Val on the floor- oh wait and Mylan.

" Can yall be mature for once?" I ask as I get out of my bed and get clothes to change into.

"Nope," they both answer as they get up and walk out the door.

After I got changed and went downstairs, I sat down at the dining table for breakfast. " Welp look who's finally up!" says my Aunt Caroline as she gives me a plate and a side hug. Aunt Caroline is Valerie's mom, she's from Portugal.

As my cousins and I conversed while eating our breakfast- Pancakes and fruit- an owl comes through the open window and drops three letters onto the table. My cousins and I give each other a side look, as we grab the letters addressed to each of us.

" Well, I guess we read them?" Mylan observes, Obviously.

"Thanks, Captain Obvious, I think I got the memo" Val responds.

All three of us give each other a final look and open the weird-looking seal- to a chance of a lifetime.
