New Friends

When focus was over, I have social studies next. Wonder how this is going to go. Two people are being pushed up against a locker by two guys. I walk over definitely mad seeing people get bullied by jerks. The two jocks look up and laugh. "Oh no! Is a little girl going to save these two dorky anime girls? We are so scared," the jocks said sarcastically. They both went to grab me, but i moved out of the way but not in time. Then, Ky walks up and pushes me aside, he looks at the guy and gives him the evil eyes. The guy backs away and has the innocent hands up like he didn't hit me. I'm holding my eye where the guy hit me.

"Don't act all innocent, I know what you did," he almost yells but holding back his rage.

The guys back up more,"I'm sorry um she just got in the way."

"Sorry dude, you know what my excuse limit is? Zero." Ky moves his fingers into a fist about to give it to him, the guy covers his face and i move in the way. He moves me aside and kicks him in the balls. The guy drops onto the floor holding his area. I laugh a little and look away hiding the black eye.

"Why did you help me," I say looking at him confused.

"I'll answer that later, but just so you know, I'm never leaving your side again." He gives me a slight smirk. I look away hiding the blush and a little excitement for whatever it is. "How else would I know your safe?" He smirks slightly more putting his hand under my chin so i have to look right at his face. "Now now, we can't have you walking around here with that eye."

"But how would you get rid of it," I ask curiously.

"Do you not know, I'm the all mighty vampire of awesomeness. I can heal you in a jiffy...," he tries to make me laugh.

I look at him with wide eyes shocked,"umm no I didn't."

He gives me a weird look,"well missy, this whole school is full of things like me, thought you would know."

I look down,"then I'm in the wrong school for my kind i guess....I guess I need to move."

"What?! No no no no no," he shakes his hands,"there is a first time for everything, I'll protect you like i said earlier."

I look at him confused and shook my head,"do you like me or something, because i read your little rules not knowing they are for vampires."

"Fuck yeah I love you, isn't it obvious!?"

I blush and then looked down sadly,"but...."

"No buts, though i would love yours...," he gets distracted.

I blush like a tomato basically giving away that i have a crush on him,"this is an important but. The rules state that we can't date because we are different so..."

"Who cares about the rules, do you really think one lousy rule is going to separate me from you?"

I nod,"it's a law...you can killed because of me so I'm not risking it, I'm sorry."

"God your stubborn, please...we'll keep it a secret...I..." Ky falls against the lockers.

I look at him worried and run up to him,"Ky!"

"I'm fine, just....time for lunch."

I look down," what am I supposed to eat? Never mind. I'll just eat at home." I look up smiling when I say that with my eyes closed.

"You could bring your own lunch...like me." Ky holds up a blood pack and winks at me.

I blush and nod," today I didn't have anything so I'll just wait..."

"Nope, lucky for you I brought a PB & J...I thought I would need it," he says proudly. I look down and a bell rings signaling lunch. Teens come running through the hall like a stampede of bulls. Ky moves away from the lockers holding himself up with a  stick, he goes to the other side of the hall. I get shoved around by a bunch of boys who hurry to get to lunch.

"Oww," I whisper holding my arm in pain and wincing when someone stepped on my foot.

"Ha! That's why you move away  from the lockers," Ky snickered.  

I look down hiding a scratch from a pencil and scissors as best I can," I should go."

"Hey now, I was messing around. Here, let me help." He walks up to me. I back up but then I feel something like a wall behind me. A person with long red hair is standing behind me with two of his friends by his sides.

Ky sighs," well, you need to stop running into trouble, it's getting to the point where you look like a bruised raisin."

I look up at the person," um heyyy," moving away.

"Rrrf, don't walk away from me." The guy bites into the sucker that was shoved into his mouth.

"Listen to Smoky, ya nerd," his friend tries to act cool.

I laugh," oh and what are ya gonna do about it Smokey bear? Put out the fire?" Smoky gives a weird look and puts back his wolf ears.

"Kristen, he means no harm, trust me," Ky almost laughs. I smile still holding my arm. I turn away towards the cafeteria. Ky walks up to Smoky begins to talk to him and his friends. I just roll my eyes at them. I sure hope I get new friends. Ky finishes up with his buds and walks me to the cafeteria giving me the sandwich. He turns around and begins to walk away from the cafeteria.

"Where are you going," I look at him confused and curious.

"Are you kidding? I'm not eating in there!" He laughs. I look down feeling a little lonely now since he is leaving. The same bullies sit by me to mess with me even more since he is gone.

Ky walks up behind me," you could come with me if you want," giving the bullies the evil eye.

I look up," but I may not be comfortable watching or being near blood. It is weird seeing it. What does it taste like?"

"Well...what does pizza taste like, and you don't have to, either way I'm not staying in here," Ky says looking off.

"I wont disturb you while drinking so I'll stick in here," I say looking down.

"Alright," he looks at the bullies," if I find out any of you hurt her in any way, I will make the punishment so bad that being killed by someone you love would be fun." He threatens. They stand up and back away slowly. Ky gently kisses my forehead and walks out. I just sit there alone, forever, and bored.
