(A/N: So I don't believe I stated when Y/N's birthday is. Y/N's birthday is June 12th. I thought I should put this here before I forget about it)

Y/N POV

I awoke at 5:30 A.M. on June 15th. A Saturday! Today was the day Grandad was going to take me to Diagon Alley. I got out of bed, rubbing my eyes as I groggily looked around for clothes to wear. I found a white t-shirt, jeans, a blue and red flannel, and my boots. I got dressed before going downstairs and sitting at the table.

'What time is it?' I wondered.

I looked at my watch to see it was only 5:40 A.M. I sat at the table before deciding to get some coffee. I walked over and started the coffee pot. As the coffee started brewing, I walked back upstairs to my room and grabbed one of my favorite books, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I walked back downstairs and sat at the table as I read and waited on the coffee.

I set my book down and walked over to the coffee pot as it started to beep, signaling the coffee was ready. I grabbed a Star Wars mug before pouring a cup of freshly-brewed coffee and sitting down once more and continuing to read. As I read, I didn't notice Grandad coming down the stairs, rubbing sleep out of his eyes.

"Good morning, Y/N," he said rather groggily.

"Good morning," I responded cheerily, taking a sip of coffee after setting my book down and putting a bookmark in it.

"What's got you in such a good mood on this fine morning?" Grandad asked, getting himself a cup of coffee.

I only shook my head before responding. "You don't know?" I asked him, as he shook his head in confusion.

I sighed before saying, "Today is the day you take me to Diagon Alley for my school supplies."

"Right, right," he responded, taking a seat at the table.

I sighed before taking another sip of my coffee and picking my book up again. I started to read again as we sat in silence. We continued to sit in silence until Grandma came downstairs at 6:10. She grabbed a mug and poured herself a cup of coffee before sitting at the table alongside Grandad and I, wiping the sleep out of her eyes.

"Good morning, Grandma!" I said.

"Good morning," she responded, taking a long sip of coffee. "What are you already doing dressed?" Grandma asked.

"Wow, you are getting old," I joked. "Grandad is taking me to Diagon Alley today to get my school supplies."

"Yeah, I am," Grandma agreed, taking another sip of coffee.

"Ready to go, kiddo?" I heard Grandad ask as I looked over the top of my book.

"I sure am!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"Grab hold of my arm. We're going to apparate," Grandad told me. I looked at him cautiously as I had done this once before and thrown up. I hesitantly grabbed his arm and the second I did I felt the horrible sensation of being squeezed and having the life sucked from me.

I felt my feet touch the ground moments later. I looked around to find myself in the Leaky Cauldron. I felt as if I was going to lose my stomach again but was able to hold it down. I walked out the back door and waited for Grandad to come out. I looked at the trash can and my stomach started fighting me again. I threw up and only barely made it to the trash can.

I felt a hand softly rubbing my back, slowly helping to calm my stomach.

"Thanks Grandad," I mumbled, holding my stomach as I stood from the trash can.

"You're welcome, kiddo. Ready to head in?" He asked me.

"Yeah," I mumbled as he tapped bricks with his wand. He tapped certain bricks as they started to part and make a arch.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley," Grandad said dramatically.

"Here... are your books," Grandad said, handing me my books.

"Thank you," I told him.

"Have you gotten your wand yet?" Grandad asked me.

"No sir, not yet," I responded.

"Well, you go get your wand and I'll wait in the Leaky Cauldron," Grandad told me.

I walked over to Ollivander's to get my wand. As I raised my hand to open the door, a raven-haired boy walked out staring at his wand, which rested in his hands. I ran into him as he ran into me, knocking me over.

"Sorry, so sorry," the boy said as he helped me off the ground.

"It's ok. I'm Y/N L/N. What's yours?" I told him, sticking my hand out for him to shake.

"Harry. Harry Potter," the boy responded, shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you but if you will excuse me, I'd like to get my wand," I told Harry.

"Oh yes, of course. I hope to see you again, Y/N," Harry said as he waved and walked away.

"I also hope to see you again," I called after Harry before entering Ollivanders.

I walked further into the shop and didn't see anyone. I walked to the desk before ringing the bell and waiting. When no one came out, I called out.

"Hello? Is anybody there?"

"Hello?" I heard a voice call back before an old man came out from the shelves. As the man set eyes on me, he froze and started to stutter.

"W-w-w-what c-c-can I d-do for y-you?" he stuttered out.

"Hello sir. I'm here for my wand," I told him.

"O-oh y-yes. I'm Ollivander. Let's start shall we?" He asked as he raced off to grab a wand for me to try.

Mr. Ollivander brought back a wand and handed it to me before saying, "Acacia wood, twelve inches, unicorn hair. Go ahead, give it a wave."

I did as I was told and waved the wand before fire spewed out and the wand was quickly snatched away.

"No, no, definitely no," Mr. Ollivander said as he put the fire and retreated once more for a different wand.

"Ah, yes. Maybe, maybe," I heard Mr. Ollivander say before he returned with a fancy wand box.

I watched as he handled the box with extreme care and looked at me with both a curious and scared look. He carefully handled the box before opening the box and showing me the wand.

"Oak wood, thirteen and a half inches, and a-a thestral hair," Mr. Ollivander said. "Well, take it!" He said after I didn't move.

I walked over and grabbed the wand cautiously. As I held it in my hand, I felt a warm feeling cross across my body as Mr. Ollivander stared at me, again, in shock and fear.

"My boy, you are destined for great and terrible things," Mr. Ollivander said gravely.

I nodded my head slowly, paying for my wand, and walking out of the store to find my grandfather.

Ollivander's POV

I walked into the back and went over to my work bench to write a letter. I grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill and ink and started to write.

"Dear Albus Dumbledore,

I'm doing as you told me. The wand was bought by one Y/N L/N. It's the brother of THAT wand. It will either be the worlds savior or the world's downfall. Be careful with the boy at your school this year.

Sincerely,

Ollivander"
