Marduk took a long look at his planet through the ships window. He sighed, wondering if he'd ever set foot on it again. He glanced at his uncle Enlil and his father Enki who was staring daggers at each others. They didn't get along in the slightest. He couldn't help but wonder why his grandpa King Anu would even assign them both to this mission. The most important mission ever dispatched in Nibiru history. It was well known on Nibiru that prince Enlil and his half brother Enki hated each other. Most of the senate were against sending them both on the mission but King Anu ultimately held the final decision. He strongly felt their expertise would both be needed on this mission. Though he did agree to send their sister Ninmah to keep them both in check. The three of them were all captains of the ship, but prince Enlil was first captain. Princess Ninmah sat in the third captains chair looking bored. It was evident she didn't want to be on this excursion. Marduk didn't want to either but his father told him it was his time to take his place in the senate. The ship vibrated under his feet as it lifted into the air. Here we go, he thought to himself. As they rose over the planets horizon he saw the great volcano looming over the planet in the distance. That volcano was the core source of life on their planet Nibiru, it kept the eco balanced. Just then his best friend Oliver walked in and sat down next to him. He had to hop a little bit to get up on the seat. They made an oddball set of friends as they were completely different in height and species. Oliver somewhat resembled his species though he was only about three and a half feet tall and his skin had a greyish hue to it. "Oliver?" Marduk was baffled. He thought Oliver wouldn't be able to accompany the mission as his dad didn't get selected from the senate. Oliver grinned, "well my dad convinced King Anu that it was essential for my species to be a part of this mission. I mean after all, it is our planet that we're heading to." Marduk was taken back by this news, "what do mean? I thought your species planet was destroyed thousands of years ago?" Oliver laughed, "well technically it was destroyed thousands of years in the future. My ancestors invented time travel and they went back In time to stop themselves from destroying the planet. When their attempts to stop nuclear fusions didn't work they settled here on Nibiru. They chose to live amongst their creators. Your people." Marduk's mouth dropped open, "what? My people created your people? How is that? How do you know so much?" Oliver laughed. "Whoa, slow down. One question at a time," he chuckled. " My people were so advanced they were able to download every piece of knowledge and history and upload it to their brains. Now when we reach a certain age, infinite knowledge is uploaded to our brains instead of us wasting years in school to only learn a small fraction." "What's school," Marduk asked puzzled. "Nevermind," Oliver laughed. Suddenly, "Marduk! Go and check on the Igigi clan," his uncle Enlil barked at him. He stood up and walked out the bridge door with Oliver right on his heels. As he was leaving out he heard his father start in on his uncle about giving his son orders. They walked down the ships main haul and passed many different species assigned from the senate. His people, the anunnuki inhabited the planet. The senate was made up of most of the intelligent species from many different planets bringing together a multi-planet government. The planets who chose to not join the senate are considered enemies of the empire, such as the Igigi peoples. And his grandfather King Anu led this empire. Every species on every planet can trace their linage back to his grandfather and his grandmother. Them two alone gave birth to the universe. "Eww!" Oliver exclaimed, covering his nose. " I can smell those stinky reptilians from way out here." Marduk chuckled, "why do you always call them that? What does that mean?" Oliver shrugged, it's what my ancestors called them. I guess cause they have reptile type skin." They reached the stairs going down to the lower haul. As they reached the bottom of the stairs the smell became much more pungent. Marduk wrinkled his nose. "What are you doing down here?" One of the Igigi men screamed at them. Marduk looked around the large chamber. There were at least two hundred Igigi men and women with their offspring. They all sat around benches with their feet's shackled to the benches and to each other. One of the Igigi stood up and screamed at them, "Did your master Anu send you to further torment us?" As he was screaming he transformed his body to take on the appearance of King Anu. Marduk took his warrior stance and fire erupted from his hands. He pointed his burning hand's towards the king Anu impersonator. "Change back or there's going to be fried reptilian on the dinner menu tonight," he snarled. One of the other Igigi men jumped up and pulled the impersonator Down to his seat, "are you crazy? You know the penalty for our shape shifting is very severe," he hissed at him. The shape shifter changed back reluctantly looking defeated. Marduk motioned for one the guards to come near. Make sure they all have food and beverage, and if any one of these things give you a problem, decimate them on the spot," he said while looking around menacingly. " yes prince junior,"the guard said with a gracious bow. "He goes by satan!" Oliver interjected to the guard. Marduk looked confused as he turned to leave the chamber, " I don't go by Satan, who's that?"
