I hated wearing heels but whatever. I was waiting outside for Jungkook, it had been an extra ten mins and he finally pulled up. "Sorry baby I got caught up with work, but damnnnnn gurl you look hot as fukkkkk" I just giggled "let's go"and we drove off to my parents house. I was really nervous and I guess I was fiddling cuz Jungkook held my hand "everything's gonna go well don't stress. Your a full success and I'm proud to be your husband as should your parents to being able to have such an amazing and perfect daughter like you" he flashed his bunny smile melting my heart. "I love you Jungkook thank you soo much for always being there for me" he kissed my forehead and continued driving.
Soon enough we were outside my old house, I took a good 10 mins just mentally preparing myself for my fathers judgement. I felt a warm hand on mine, he gave me a look of reassurance and we knocked on the door to be met with the maid. Obviously my father couldn't even have the decency to be the first to greet us, the maid led us to the living room "Mr and Mrs Kim are just getting ready they'll be with you shortly" I just rolled my eyes and sat down. Jungkook spoke comforting words the whole time until my parents decided to finally show up, he squeezed my hand to give me some sort of reassurance and knowing I had Jungkook made it soo much better.
My father hugged me with no love but just for show but my mother pulled me into a long fulfilling hug "oh my dear Minji I missed you soo much" when she pulled away she looked at me on the verge of tears. I gave her a sweet smile and we sat down at the dining table. "Minji nice to see you tidied yourself up a bit, at least you don't look like you just came off the street" I laughed awkwardly at my fathers hurtful words but I was used to it by now. Jungkook turned me towards him "whatever she wears she looks like an angel" he kissed my forehead and turned back to see my father smiling embarrassed.
"So Jungkook how's business I hope you will continue to honour our deal" I was fed up all he cared about was business this business that 🙄 "maybe we shouldn't talk about business since we haven't seen our dear daughter in soo long" my father shook his head and death stared my mother "shut up Chaeryoung you don't understand your just a woman" and there he goes again putting my mother down but I was not gonna take it anymore. "No appa you can't just tell your wife to shut up she is as clever as you even in some ways wiser" my father just looked at me shocked, I had never talked back to him before but his shit is too much. "Kim Minji how dare you talk to me like that I'm your father" I sarcastically laughed "father my ass you married off your 18 year old daughter just for business, you stopped me from perusing my dreams for your own selfish needs you have treated everyone in your family like shit eomma only stayed around for her children but you've driven them all away so what's stopping her from leaving you. Your gonna die alone old man, im cutting ties with you until you can learn what family means goodbye Mr Kim" I got up and took my bags and left with my mother.
"Minji shi you didn't have to do that" I pulled my mother in for a hug as I could see the tears streaming down her face "eomma you deserve soo much better I want you to find someone to love you for you, your beautiful kind and an amazing mother. It's time to put you first" she smiled and stroked my hair "I'm soo proud to have you as my daughter" she kissed me and we both left for the car waiting for Jungkook.
He finally came after 20 mins "I cut the deal with your father, eomma your welcome to stay with us for however long you'd like" I smiled at Jungkooks sweet behaviour as we drove home. I had a long catch up with my mother "Minji dear is there anyway I could maybe meet Jin and Jisoo I have been a terrible mother-in-law and I still haven't been able to see baby Ni Ki" I shook my head "of course you can eomma but it wasn't your fault Appa never let you near them. Oh and eomma Giselle unnies pregnant with twins" she covered her mouth and smiled full of excitement. "Omo I miss my baby soo much hopefully I can be there for the birth" I nodded and smiled seeing how happy my eomma was. "I will invite all of them tomorrow for a family get together" she hugged me "thank you soo much baby living with your father was a nightmare, I was too scared to get a divorce" I smiled as I started tearing up she deserves soo much better.
