Fiorella
I never wanted to kiss a woman until Kian brought a woman out of nowhere to lead me to my room, well his room. I was a hostage here. The woman was a short petite figure who moved so smoothly I wanted to check if she actually had legs or if was she just floating around these giant hallways.
I was about to ask her her name when she stopped in front of a door that was an identical but less intimidating version of the front door. She pushed open the door to reveal a room that was larger than my apartment.
I took a few steps into the room, entranced by it already.
A queen-sized bed surrounded by off-white walls, the golden, sun-kissed aura just made it seem ethereal. Two full-length windows overlooking the city were blinded by a royal beige-colored curtain.
The woman behind me cleared her throat. I turned towards her, remembering the basic manners I had been taught.
"Thank you so-"
She cut me off with an icy glare. "If you need anything, there's a telephone."
"Of cou-"
"Don't try to call the police, they have better work to do."
"Wha-"
"And don't even think about wrapping that cord around your throat."
"Sorry-"
"And try to burn the room down, it doesn't help anyone. You will just annoy the morning staff."
I kept my silence when she raised an eyebrow. "Any questions?"
I just forced a smile and shook my head. "No, of course not."
"Good." She nodded. "Be ready in five minutes for dinner. Don't be late, Capo hates delays."
And then she shut the door without even letting me speak.

I thought for a second to be late for this whole dinner thing. What was the worst that he could do?
Kill me? I was already dead inside. But then my stomach growled in protest. I needed food, even if I didn't want to live anymore, I still needed food.
Thankfully, this room, which looked like a Pinterest manifestation, had a closet with some fresh clothes that I could change into. I could see the pink ends of my skirt turning dusky. My shift at Bella Rose normally ended at seven in the evening but today it dragged to nine, and since it was the end of the month, I knew I could use some extra cash.
And now I am here. At the mercy of the Capo of the Cosa Nostra.
"Oh great you are ready." A different woman but still somehow identical to the previous one said with a pleased tone.
I almost jumped out of my skin as I saw the young, short woman standing at the door. "Fuck." I exhaled. "Knock next time."
"Sorry, I was just really excited to meet another woman." She beamed brightly. At least she looked more human than the previous one.
"It's fine. You just scared the shit out of me." My chest was still beating out of my chest.
"I am really sorry." She smiled apologetically. "But you really have to go downstairs, Capo is waiting for you and he hates-"
"Delays." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I know."

"Glad you could make it," Kian said as soon as I stepped into the dining hall. He sat at the end of the table with his domineering presence, one hand resting on the gun lying casually on the table while the other gripped the edge of the table with a tight force.
"Looks like you missed me." I smiled as I walked up to one of the chairs, making sure to add a bit of a flare to my hips. And as his eyes strayed below, I knew I had that win.
"So this is the woman you brought home." A man, a lot older than Kian and Enzo mused with a drink in his hand. I did not even notice the other men present there. Enzo, the dramatic cousin, and this other older man sat at the left-hand side of the table, each nursing a drink. And three familiar faces guarding the table as if it was about to explode.
"More like kidnapped." I had completely lost my mind for daring to speak like that in front of men who had so much more power and control.
But the older man snickered in response. "Come join us, you must be hungry."
His response kind of took me off guard. I hadn't expected kindness from a man that looked like him. Huge, muscular, tattoos all over his body and a fiery scar on his face. He didn't look like someone who would tolerate anyone's shit.
But I didn't question it, I took the empty seat beside him. I felt him lean towards me and speak against my hair. "Kian doesn't really have patience, so behave little girl."
