Chapter Two- The Choice

A/N THIS CHAPTER HAS NOT BEEN CHECKED FOR SPELLING/GRAMMAR AND WAS WRITTEN AT 1 IN THE MORNINH :D

Stanley stepped into the open office like the hundreds of times before, yet wondering around as if it were the first. The Narrator had spent many resets working out the plan to confess to Stanley and he had finally found the one. Now all he had to do was put it into action.

He said nothing as Stanley walked past the copy machine and door 417, his anxiety was getting to him. What if Stanley rejects me? What if he goes through the wrong door? What if- His thoughts were cut short as he glanced as his notes and read out the words he had written down.

"When Stanley came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his right- no, sorry. He entered the door on his left."

Confused and intrigued, Stanley went through the door on his right. Perfect. The first part of the plan complete. Now, thought the Narrator, to set the scene.

"This was not the correct way to the meeting room, and Stanley knew it perfectly well. Perhaps he wanted to stop by the employee lounge first, just to admire it."

Stanley walked through the corridors at a brisk pace, not even letting the Narrator finish speaking when going through the employee lounge. Stanley walked straight ahead and into the maintenance room.

"Stanley was so incredibly amazing at snooping around the office, that he had gone in the complete wrong direction. It was too late to go back now, as there was something important for him on the other side."

Stanley cautiously stepped into the platform, almost falling off as it wirred to life and moved forwards. As Stanley looked around at the stacks of thousands of boxes around him, The Narrator began to speak once more, " Look Stanley, I think perhaps we've gotten off on the wrong foot here. I'm not your enemy, really, I'm not. I realize that investing your trust in someone else can be difficult, but the fact is that there's been something you've been neglecting, Stanley, someone you've forgotten about-"

Before the Narrator could finish his heartfelt speak, the platform rose above a catwalk made of metal. Stanley, quite dangerously, decided to jump onto this platform. As he stood back up, his legs slightly shaking, the Narrator noticed where he had gone.

Perfect.

"What-really? I was in the middle of something; do you have zero consideration for others? Are you that convinced that I want something bad to happen to you?" Stanley walked into the room in front, following the string of corridors, "Why, I don't know how to convince you of this, but I really do want to help you, to show you something beautiful. Look, let me prove it. Let me prove that I am on your side. Give me a chance."

As Stanley turned the final corner, he was met by an oddly colourful sight. A red door and a blue door.

"Now, Stanley, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now but I- I well I just haven't know how to say it. To make you understand. But, the truth is... I've grown quite fond of you Stanley. Hell, I've grown to love you Stanley. I, I just need to know of you feel the same. So, this next part is very important. Stanley..."

The Narrator paused to take a break and take in Stanley's facial expression, which haven't changed since he saw the two doors- he wore a face of pure shock.

"Stanley, if you feel the same way, please walk through the red door."

An unbearable, indescribable silence washed over the office, like a tsunami wave consuming a city. Stanley stood still for the longest time. The Narrator waited for the longest time. He kept on glancing at the clock above his desk. 1 minute. 2 minutes. 3 minutes. Stanley stood there, waiting, and the Narrator watched, waiting.

Then Stanley took a step...

SORRY TO LEAVE YOU ON A CLIFF HANGER! Also sorry this is rushed I really wanted to post this one tonight, BUT I need reader input here. So eventually I will post both the red door and blue door endings BUT I want to know which one you guys want to see first.

Do we want to see a lovey dovey Narrator and Stanley couple?

Do we want to see a sad Narrator and ANGST?!???
