I was sitting at my desk, peacefully reading the latest issue of a teen fashion magazine. The morning breeze from my open window felt amazing.

We had just moved here from the Kanto region across the seas.

I decided to take a break and got up. I walked down the stairs from my bedroom and decided to go see what my mom was doing.

When I reached the kitchen I saw she was washing the dishes.

"Goodmorning, mama!" I made my amazing presence known unto her.

"Goodmorning, Callisto!" She turned to look at me quickly. "Aye! Pink!? Really? I thought you said you were dying your hair a natural color this time!"

"I..changed my mind?" I sheepishly shrugged.

She turned off the water and walked toward me, running her fingers through my hair.

"At least it looks nice," she smiled. "Oh! You're already in your uniform and everything! All ready for your first day!"

I looked down at my summer uniform for Naranja acadamy, the school I was recently accepted into. It was nice but I wanted to accessorize it a bit. Maybe later.

"I'm so excited for you!" She gave me a tight squeeze.

"Okay, okay, I gotta get ready to go!" I pulled apart from her.

"Cool your engines, cadet. The school contacted me saying you're supposed to wait here a little while longer," Mom explained. "Their words, not mine!"

"They said there's something very important for your first day that still hasnt arrived," she continued. The door bell then chimed.

"Maybe that's it there, Callie, go get the door please!" Mom grinned.

"Alrighty," I shrugged, walking over to the front door. Just as I reached the entrance, the door opened and in waltzed a strange man.

'Holy hell, dude, creepy as fuck. Couldnt even let me open the door,' I thought to myself as I stepped back in shock.

"Ah! Do forgive the intrusion!" He spoke upon seeing my face. He walked more inside. "You are...Miss Callisto, yes?"

"Uh-," I could barely utter a word.

"On behalf of the academy, I must apologize for the late arrival of your enrollment documents," he continued. "Ah! And also the delay in introducing myself."

"That would be a nice start, yes," I choked out.

"I am the director of Naranja Academy. You may call me Mr. Clavell," he finally introduced himself.

"The director?! And you came in person to help my child on her first day?" My mom approached shocked.

"Well, I am responsible for the entire academy-- including any failures on it's part..." he explained.

'He also barges into houses like a creep,' I bit my tounge.

"So here at last are the enrollment documents that should've already been delivered to you," he handed the papers to my mother.

"Goodness, you really needn't have..." she trailed off. "Since you've come all this way, would you care for a cuppa?"

"Ah, no need to trouble yourself," Mr. Clavell insisted.

"Callie, I've got a thing or two to discuss with the director here," mom turned to me. "Why don't you go to your room and finish getting ready?"

"Alright then," I agreed and went upstairs to my room. I pulled on my fancy new backpack and the audacious looking hat. I gazed into my mirror and sighed.
