With my head on the desk, and the chatter of students, my stomach growled loudly. Almost enough to cut through the loud sounds of students laughing and have idle conversation. Groaning I deeply regretted not eating a proper breakfast. So much happened and it's only lunch. I mean, I'm hiding my identity from everyone, the guy who I used to be best friends with is onto my disguise. And my friend is hiding something, speaking of the devil.

"hungry?" he asked, nodding, he gestured for me to follow him to the hallway. Beside our class to the vending machines outside the class we walked. Walking in front of him, I felt him staring at me again. It felt as if he could see through my makeup, it gave me shivers. Turning around quickly I was faced with his chest. He chuckled as I stepped away. Our heights weren't too different but he was still intimidation nevertheless.

"Jay."
"yes?"
"have you ever lied as if your life depended on it?" he tilted his head with a suspicious look. I had to figure out what he knew, why he watched me like a hawk. As much as I hated to assume this was what he was thinking. There wasn't much else I could think of. There was a glint in his eyes, as if I was saying what he wanted to hear.
"maybe... have you?" he pressed a butting on the machine.

"no. I havent."
"then neither have-"
"but maybe it's because no one ever asks the right questions." A smirked raised on his lips, he knew something. He knew something about me. I wasn't sure what it was still, but I was going to find out. I would push until I knew if it was worth worrying about. But even if it was something small, I had a feeling it would become much more than that.
Grabbing the juice box I had gotten out of the machine I started to walk away but not before his eyes pierced my back once more.

"oh- and Jay. I know you're hiding something." I sent him a sweet smile going back into the class.

Jay's pov

Her smile was sweet looking, but there was more to it. She was taunting me, she knew I knew it was her. Or at least that's what I thought she knew. With makeup or without, she's still the same. Dripping from head to toe with wit. For all I knew I had the wrong girl, but even so, even if there was more to her than changing her looks completely and having a strange hobby. What was the true meaning behind her sudden change? I was curious more than anything.

Frankly the only reason I knew it was her was because one of the guys who went to her school had gotten wave of the fact they were moving back into her old house. And right around that time, she showed up here. I knew almost nothing about her, but I was desperate to find out. Bothering her seemed to become my new favourite hobby. It was almost too good to be true.

Hana Kim, why do you lie? Or maybe that's the wrong question like you said before. Why are you hiding? It's intriguing, how she's done all this. But why? What more does she have to hide? Is she scared?

But for now.. I'll play along. Kim Dae.. the schools beauty, with everyone rapped around your finger. I supposed this could be hard. So what if I got some leverage? An old friend, for old times sake. I heard a rumour, there was more to your kick's history than you let on..

Following her back into the class with a friendly smile we sat down like nothing had happened. But i'd be sure she could feel nothing but my eyes on her.

It's you against me, may the best win.
