Why Now? (A Cameron Dallas fanfiction)

Chapter 8

Cameron's POV

I told Nash what happened last night between Scarlett and I. "Man, I feel bad for you!"
"Let's just get some lunch and go to Matts or something, I need to get it off my mind" I say.

"Hello" a blonde girl that looks about my age says as she approaches our table and the guys and I sit down, "Can I get you all drinks to start?".
"Ice tea please" I say.
Carter and Nash get Sprite and Matt gets water. Just as the girl leaves a group of about 5 girls sits down at a booth behind us. I'm not really paying attention to them because I still miss Scarlett. My life has been so different without her and I'm such am idiot. I want to tell her everything about what truly happened, but she might not believe me and it will only get worse.
I guess I was starting to stare into the distance thinking about it all when Carter nudged me with his elbow, "Yo Man, that's Emily, Scarlett, Angel, And Kaylee behind us, with some girl that looks like Emily's sister," he said quietly to me.
My eyes opened a bit, "wait Scarlett?!" I said a little too loud.
"Dude.. Yes Scarlett. Why do you still care about her if you had Carly?" The guys look at me questioningly.
"I didn't ever want Carly, I couldn't get her away from me, I never did anything with her but she wouldn't stop titling us." I shake my head and my head falls in my hands.
"Really? She told everyone so many different things, man, I knew you weren't interested in her" Matt says.
"She was identical to Scarlet, everything except how pushy she was. That's why I like Scar so much, she isn't easy to get, she's hidden and learning new things about her is always so interesting because nobody ever knows anything about her. Carly wouldn't close her mouth" I look away.
"Cam I never knew that, we'll help you get her back don't worry about it buddy" Matt says just as our food arrives.

Scarlett's POV

"You're food will be here in just a moment" the blonde girl says as she steps away from the boys booth behind us, and closer to ours. Kaylee and I have been listening to their conversations about me since we got our booth. Occasionally we stop hearing what their saying, so the only parts we know for sure are that after Cameron said my name loudly in a questioning voice to the group he told them all he couldn't get some girl (I'm assuming me) away from him? And so Matt and the rest of them agreed to help him get the other girl back? Which had to be Carly.
Why the fuck would he be paying so much attention to me and telling me how much he needs me the past few days then?
See Cameron is the sweetest, most attractive, most funny, human I have ever met, but I have never understood some boys, and he has always been one of them.

A slight tear rolled down my cheek and Angel looked at me with an upset expression. I told them all everything that has been happening with him recently and they all seem to be furious with Cameron. I don't know what to suspect anymore with him. Angel reached across the table and put her hand on mine, "we won't let him even see you again" she said.
