PMD: Heroes Of Light (Book One: Rising Heroes)

Prologue

Darkness surrounds her vision until she began to move towards a light that called her name in whispers she could only hear.

Finally, she could hear it a bit more clearly.

"Come closer, might you be a human?" the ball of light asked her.

She nodded in reply, or at least she thought she did.

She felt so light in the darkness of the void.

The light shined brighter and looked like a colorful flame.

"You have been chosen to save the Pokemon world from what is coming to-".

"But why me? Why could you not ask the others you speak of to help?" she interrupted.

There was silence and then the voice spoke again.

"Because it is time for a new hero to rise and save the world from darkness. Great evil will awaken," it answered.

Then she saw a vision. A horrible beast rising for darkness, yet Autumn had no clue what could be because shadows masked its shape.

There was destruction, pokemon grieving over the loss of life of their loved ones that had all been slain by the evil creature that continued its rampage.

Her vision cleared and she gasped at what had just happened.

Mist, not shadow-filled around her, and the small ball of light was replaced with a towering creature that hid in the heavy mist.

"Do you understand now what I'm trying to tell you?" the creature asked her.

She hesitated and then spoke. "I do now, but what can I do? I'm just a mere human".

"Not anymore you will be. Not until you have fulfilled your destiny," the creature told her and she began to feel like she was falling asleep.

She still wanted l to ask the strange creature what was happening, but her body was already turning against her.

The last thing she saw was strange colorful lights and then the returning darkness of the void.
