Awkard situation

Tugging at the pale silk dress, I gave myself a quick once over before stepping out of the changing room to seek approval from Linda and Lisa. "Oh you look beautiful sweetheart", said Linda while cupping my face and smiling at me like my Mother always does.

"Jared is going to be gobsmacked", Lisa all but screeched. "Thanks Lisa, but I don't think even Jared is going to notice me in my dress when I'm next to you", I said with a sudden feeling of being inadequate. With a small frown on her face Lisa quietly said, "Yeah, maybe". Thinking that Lisa was acting a bit out of character, but not wanting to ask her about it in front of Linda I decided it was time to treat ourselves to food and our feet to rest. "Well, I don't know about you two but I starving, what do you two think of going to get something to eat now that we have both picked out our dresses?" Agreeing we went to a nice little Italian restaurant.

Once we arrived there Linda had to go to the toilet, leaving Lisa and I alone together. Thinking over how I was going to ask her what was wrong, I was surprised ti find Lisa watching me with a frown on her face. Just as I was about to talk she spoke first. "I know whats going on between you and Tony". "W-what are you talking about?" I managed to stutter out. With a sad smile on her face Lisa said, "I know that Tony thinks he has feelings for you, but I know that you don't a d thats why I asked him to be my date to prom. I am going to make him fall in love with me".

I was at a loss for words. I kept opening and shutting my mouth, nothing was coming out. "Oh don't act so shocked Sarah, you have to have picked up on it when Tony went nuts when I told him that you were going to prom with Jared. I just wanted to let you know that you don't have to worry about his silly little crush. If my symptoms are correct, he will be mine forever". Lisa said as she placed her hand on her stomach.

"Your pregnant?" I yelled in shock. "Calm down Sarah, I don't know yet, I am a week late and my hormones are all over the place. You can't tell anyone ok. I haven't told Tony that I suspect that I am yet". I was about to tell her that I thought she should go and tell Anthony now but Linda returned asking, "So what's the latest gossip girls?".
