Entrence Exams

It was morning and the birds were singing, the sun was rising and Grandpa Max was being woken up by the sound of Bens alarm.

*beep* *beep* *beep*

Grandpa Max:*lying in bed* Ben turn that thing off already and get ready for school.

*beep* *beep* *beep*

Grandpa Max:*slightly annoyed* Ben I told you to turn that thing off and get up.

*beep* *beep* *beep*

Grandpa Max sat up and wiped his eyes and turned to where Bens bed was.

Grandpa Max:*shouting angrily* Ben!

Suddenly the Rust Bucket door flew open as the sunlight entered through along with Ben. Ben walked over to his alarm and turned it off.

Ben:Sorry Grandpa.

Grandpa Max looked over at Ben and noticed he was in his uniform. He checked the time on the clock and saw it was 8am.

Grandpa Max:How long have you been up for?

Ben:About an hour, didn't want a repeat of yesterday so I got up and started to get ready earlier than usual.

Max was surprised to hear this.

Grandpa Max:I'm surprised, you would usually sleep for as long as possible then rush round in the morning, do you want some breakfast?

Ben:No thanks I already ate when I went out for a run I just grabbed something from the shops on my way back.

Max looked concerned.

Grandpa Max:Ben are you feeling okay?

Ben:Yeah I'm fine, why?

Grandpa Max:It's just not like you to do all this so I guess I'm a bit concerned, has something happened between you and Jiro that you haven't told me.

Ben:No nothing has happened between us I swear. It's just after our talk yesterday and my talk with Jiro about the UA entrance exams and being more responsible it made me realise you were both right, I'm not a little kid anymore and I need to be more responsible. So that's what I'm doing.

Grandpa Max's concerned expression changes to a warm and comforting smile, he felt happy and proud that Ben was listening to him and is taking his advice and starting to grow up a bit and be more mature.

Ben:Well I better be off don't want to be late for school.

Grandpa Max:Okay kiddo see you later, good bye.

Ben walked over to his grandpa and hugged him.

Ben:Bye grandpa see you later.

Ben ran out the door shutting it behind him and started walking to school. He arrives at school and heads to his first lesson. He arrived at his lesson and took his seat as he waited for others to arrive as he sat their alone in the classroom thinking to him self.

Few minutes later

Everyone was starting to walk in and take their seats and soon enough Jiro arrived.

Jiro:(Hope that moron isn't late again because I'm too tired to scold him after all that studying and training, speaking of which I hope Ben will be more cooperative today about going.)

Jiro looked around and saw Ben in his seat at his desk. She headed over to him.

Jiro:How did you get here before me?

Ben hearing her was snapped out of his trans like state of mind.

Ben:*a little startled* Oh hey Jiro.
