Everyone scrambled to the window. Indeed, Sam was right. They saw the exact same thing, except in higher quality, out of the window that was being broadcasted on the TV.

"Let's go," Dylan said.

To Sam's surprise, he just leapt out of Sam's bedroom window. Sam however, decided not to have broken bones on the way down, and took the stairs, going out the normal person's way, the door.

"I've got us a car," Dylan said, but Sam was too busy focusing on his brother, who was now coming back home after a detour to the shops earlier.

"What are you doing, Sam?" Cole asked.

Sam searched for an excuse. "Going for a little drive around." He ended up telling the slight truth. "You can't come," Sam added, quickly.

Cole shrugged and went inside. Sam was relieved to get him out of the way.

"Get in the car!" Dylan shouted.

"Isn't this my neighbour's car?"

"Just get in the damned car!"

Sam, despite all the doubts in his mind, got into the six-seater BMW, slammed the door and prayed for a safe journey.

"He turned left onto the A10," Martha told Dylan, watching the live feed of the LCD TV. She sat at the front of the car, beside Dylan, the driver.

Dylan then swerved off Sam's road onto the main road, clearly not noticing the sign that said 'PLEASE WAIT' in bold capital letters. There were no collisions, luckily, as he turned onto the A10. Dylan was driving the car at around 50mph, which was over double the speed limit, Sam noticed that it was 20mph. The light of a nearby speed camera blinded Sam as they flew past it.

"He's still going straight on the A10," Martha continued. "He's not far ahead, but he is going at insane speeds."
Dylan sped up. He swerved around cars, trucks, vans and bicycles that were in his way as he kept going. Sam looked at the speed gauge, and it was now pointing at around 60mph. Everything was going by so fast to Sam, that they might've as well been going at the car's terminal velocity. Despite all this, they were still evading all the cars on the A10, and staying on the correct lane.

"You're driving really well, compared to how fast you're going, you know, Dylan," Sam then said, as he watched Dylan continue to expertly avoid cars on the road.

"I know right," Dylan boasted. "I really should get myself a licence."

Sam felt a little more uneasy after that point. He felt even more uneasy when a mass of pigeons landed on the roof of the car, and Sam decided to think that these weren't exactly friendly.

"Dylan, is this a convertible car by chance?" Sam asked.

"It's the middle of winter," Dylan began. "Why would I get a convertible?"

"Well that's good, because a whole flock of pigeons is on top of this car."

Dylan muttered some curses under his breath before abruptly and sharply turning the steering wheel, trying to startle the pigeons off the top. It would've worked with normal pigeons perhaps, but not with these cyborgs. If anything, it only succeeded in making Sam more motion sick.

"What's our status, Martha?" Dylan then asked, taking a sharp left turn.

"He's still on the A10," Martha said. "But we have to move faster."

The increased speed levels and abrupt turns would've made Sam throw up on the spot, but he was in too much regret to do so.

Why'd I tell him there were pigeons on the roof?? he thought. And why am I the only one motion sick?
