a lost mind

On a breezy day with some sunshine. A traveller is wandering around the ruins of some old building. He's wondering what could have been here and at the same time looking for anything useable. He enters one of the few remaining standing buildings of the ruins. Wondering what he could find he sees the place is wet. Looking down he sees it's getting only wetter. Being afraid for a seaborn nearby he grabs his weapon. It's a shaky old spear but it can kill and that is what matters he thinks to himself. 

He's going towards it and hoping it's just wet from being old age in the building he entered. He found a room with light after carefully looking around. He enters the room carefully but his heart is racing. In the room, he sees a big glass tube with a person in it. He wonders if his mind is tricking him and slowly walks towards the glass tube. Getting close to the glass tube he puts his hand on it and he is scared since it's real he says to himself. Thinking the person is still alive he breaks the glass tube and tries his best to get the person out of it. Laying the person on the cold wet ground he wonders what to do.

 'Aaagh I am stupid I should have put down my coat first before laying him down; He says to himself. Quickly took off his coat and laid it down on some dry ground nearby. And he turns around to quickly take the person from the cold wet ground to instead lay the person on the coat. Now with the person laying on his coat, he decides to check if the person is still alive. He grabs the person's wrist to check if there is any heart beating. By surprise, there is a heart beating but it's weak. The man quickly tries to make a fire with his lighter since it's quite cold in the building. 'Come on there should be something here that's flammable. I just need to get him warm; 

Finding some old papers he decides to quickly take a look outside in hope of finding some wood. As soon as he exits the building he sees some twigs laying around. When collecting twigs he soon has enough and decides to head back quickly. When getting back to the room he notices the person is gone and his coat as well. Seeing this he is shocked. Where could the person have gone to? But then he hears a voice from behind him saying 'Who are you? Are you with them? Are you trying to hurt me once more?!; The man quickly turns around seeing the person standing behind him. 

'Hey let's just calm down. I am not with the people you think and let's take this easy. Since I don't know what they did to you but you are still wet and probably have it cold. So let me create a fire here and we have small talk.; The man says. The person agrees and sits somewhere in the room close to the fire but far away from the man. While the man tries to make the fire he asks 'Wats your name if I may ask?; The person replies with 'My name you ask? I....I don't really recall having a name; 'You don't have a name? That is quite weird; The man says. 'Well my name is Jess; The man says. Jess looks at the person. He sees the person is a hydra. a sub-race from Vouivre. 'Let's call you Hydra since that is your race. Quite fitting don't you agree?; Jess says.

 The person is surprised by the name but accepts it. 'So Jess what will we do now?; Hydra asks and Jess answers with. 'Let's just make sure you warm up for now then we start to head to my hometown to get you some food and clothes; Hydra looks happy with that answer. After some time passed Jess told Hydra they are going now while walking to the exit Jess asks Hydra some questions. 'So Hydra do you know what these ruins are?; Hydra replies 'I don't know anything about the building I only remember that there were people here that hurt me every day; Jess was quite shocked by the answer Hydra gave. 'So how far do we have to walk Jess?; Hydra asked. Jess toke out a small screen and talked a quick look before putting it back. '15 mins Hydra then we are close to the landship my hometown is on; 'Are we really that close to it?; Hydra asks. 'No, but we're lucky the landship is coming towards us. That cut our travel time down greatly; He says with a smile. 

Sometime later they get close to the landship and Jess takes out the small screen once again. 'What is that screen you take out every time Jess?; Hydra asks. 'It's a device that let me see where the landship is. It also let me send a request to enter it so they are sending a car soon to pick us up; 'Oo that is quite useful but why do they send a car can they not just stop the landship?; Hydra asks. 'No, they can not do that for now. Since some time ago the machine that stops the landship has broken down and we haven't found a way to fix it yet; In the distance, the roars of an engine are heard.

 'Great there be here soon then we can enter my home soon; Jess said with a happy voice. A car stops before them and a person yells they should enter quickly. Jess and Hydra quickly enter the car. Before they even close the door the car is already driving back to the landship. Hydra is looking at how the person drives the car and sees the car is going really fast. Jess says ' The car has to go high speed to be able to enter the landship Hydra otherwise we can't get on the lift fast enough before it goes up again; 'I see but why not let the lift stay down?; Hydra asks. 'Well if they do that the lift would get a lot of damage because of the terrain; 'Oo I see. then I fully understand we got to be quick about it;

 The car finally reaches top speed and is able to get on the lift. They enter the landship. Now being in the landship down part Jess quickly takes Hydra by the hand and they start walking towards his home. 'Can I not have a tour now Jess?; Hydra asks Jess. 'Not now we need to get you some clothes quick; 'Yea you are right we should get me some clothes now; After some time they enter Jess his home and Jess takes Hydra to a room. 'Here this will be your room for now. You can lay down on the bed while I grab some clothes for you; Jess says and leaves the room. Hydra decides to lie down on the bed. 

while laying down on the bed he thinks to himself it is quite comfy. Jess enters the room and lay down some clothes on a chair nearby. 'Alright Hydra here are some clothes for you just try them on and if you need me I will be cooking downstairs; Jess leaves the room and Hydra just got off his bed and grab the clothes Jess laid down on the chair. While downstairs Jess is cooking he thinks to himself about Hydra and wonders what would happen if he got out of the glass tube alone. Since it's clear that Hydra needs to regain his mind before further exploring this world.
