[Song- I Swear This Time I Mean It- Mayday Parade.]

It was chilly the day mom and dad had dropped me off at that human school. My school. I had finally convinced them to let me go to a public school. I told them that are secret life as vampire will be safe, and that I wouldn't associate with anyone. My parents don't take decisions like this lightly, so I would consider myself lucky I guess. I was about thirteen I remember looking like social outcast. Everyone wore mostly bright, and pale colors. only rarely I saw any black or gray like I was wearing.

As I walked down the hall I could pick up this weird scent. It smelt odd. A strange odd that I had never smelt before. I walked into my class (Room 120) and was quickly greeted by the teacher inside. Mrs.Green I believe her name was. I was going to sit down, but she pulled me back to have me introduce myself to the class. Just then another boy walked into the room. He was tall, medium skinned, dark brown hair, and the deepest blue eyes I could ever seen in one lifetime. At the same moment, that same odd smell was much stronger. It was coming off of that boy. Apparently he was new too. Mrs. Green got the classes attention before the boy took a step forward to introduce himself to the class.

"My name is Evan Pierce." He said in an outgoing voice. "I'm looking forward to meeting you all this year." I snickered. How could one boy be so cheerful and outgoing. Evan sat in the third row, second to the windows. Before I knew it, it was my turn. I felt Mrs.Green give me a gentle nudge on my back with her hand. I took the tiniest step forward. I felt hot eyes on me, but one in particular seemed the hottest. I look up, and Evan was staring straight at me with more interest that any of the other kids did. His eyes were sharp the pierced through my skin. I clenched my fist showing my white knuckles, I bit my lip before I spoke.

"M-My name-" I began, but I was cut off by the teacher.

"Could you speak higher please?" Mrs.Green said gently. I took a deep breathe, sucking in my stomach. I flipped my bangs away from my eyes. If I was going to do this, I was going to do it right. I put on the best smile I could, and I spoke.

" My name is Owen Marshall. I'm pleased to be here, and I hope I can learn the best I can." With that over and done with, I exhaled. Dropping my gaze, I held tightly onto my notebooks, and walked quickly to my seat. I sat in the last row next to the window. I dropped in my seat, I felt panicked. Was that too nice? I rested my hand on my head. I told mom and dad I wouldn't associate with anyone! Now they will all try and talk to me! I hit my wrist to my head think about how stupid I was. I felt eyes burning on me again. I turn my head slowly just barley looking up from my eyelashes, I could see Evan Pierce staring at me. I shiver ran down my spine as I stared into his eyes. He cocked a smile, and I turned away. What was up with that kid? Why is he so interested in me? This was only day one and I had much longer to go.

Two months after arriving at the school, I have seen Evan following me around. Am I the only one who has noticed this creeps behavior? He was invisible to everyone in the hall as he followed me. Three weeks after that, we would bump into each other once in a while. One Wednesday I was getting books from my locker. I closed it shut, and when I went to turn away I bumped into a heavy object. I fell down on the floor as my books scattered. I heard people around me laugh until the bell rang. I started gathering my books. I reached for my algebra book, but a hand grabbed it before I could. I looked up to see Evan. Him and his little cocky smile staring down at me.

"I'm sorry." He said. His hand reached out for me to grab it. "Let me help you." I hesitated looking at his hand, blushing with embarrassment. I helped myself up, rejecting his hand. I didn't look at him, I stood there brushing off my books.

"Well, thanks to your help, I dropped my books and now I'm late for class." I said a little irritated. Evan didn't seem offended, he just smiled.

"Ouch." He said, "Just trying to be friendly." I Huffed. I checked to see if I had my books. One was missing. My eyes widened. Evan picked it up! I Looked up at him, he had the book held with one hand by his shoulder. I reached out to grab it, but Evan pulled his arm higher. I reached for it again, this time he held it back and even higher. Damn he was tall! I Jumped for it, but I couldn't reach it. Evan let out and amused laugh. This guy was a complete ass!
