As I run through the forest, bolting away from the considerable and decaying demon catching up behind me he conjures up black flames trailing not far behind me, the rest of my crew are dead. All twenty six of them are gone. Now it is me, my knife in my boot and left waist pocket, gun in my other waist pocket and the sword on my back, the sword that my mentor gave me before he died. Even Though he was the leader of all the Phantoms, I was meant to lead after him, but damn Enroy took over that role, he always wanted it, he was always jealous of my old mentor. Looking back at the demon Akistarlrius, the demon who has been rumoured to utterly demolish five entire armies at once, armies that were roughly two thousand five hundred and sixty men and women each. If I were to be completely honest, these armies were the strongest armies ever, and yet they all died.
As I turn my head back forward I scouted the area for anywhere to hide, anywhere to stop and take a breath, anywhere to turn and shoot that bastard. Maybe cling onto a tree trunk to branch? Panting like crazy from a few broken ribs (which if I'm honest, I'm completely unfazed) and a big gouge in my back from the demon, I clamber up a tree with tons of cover. I stop for a second to take a breath and look down at the demon who is now glaring up at me slowly but surely reaching up. The flames devouring the tree putting them into murky black deps. I don't have long until he reaches me, i'd say about fifteen seconds, in my head i repeat what's the plan? What's the plan? What is the plan Tasha?! I think for a second and then it hits me.If I time it perfectly, I should jump down with my dagger and slice. But there are pros and cons to this; the pros, it will work and it will be dead, the Cons, well... he would catch me mid flight and..well I don't want to know the rest of that.
I quickly and surely stand up on the branch, I pull out the dagger from my boot and without a doubt I silently, fluently and swiftly jump off as if I am a feather, you would never hear it. As I fall straight above the demon's round and massive head I think one chance Tash, don't screw it up, then lift my dagger and...

Slice.

As I wake up groggy and babbling my back beginning to pound with pain, I turn my head to find a demon laying dead and bloody next to me on the ground. I can feel the wet soil soaking into my hair. I can hear the birds chirping above, loud and restless.
As the ringing in my ears begin to stop the sound of my phone's ringtone comes into sound. Someone's calling? I think to myself.
I slowly sit up and see who rung me. It was HQ. I call them back only for them to tell me that I have another target. A Demon in an academy.
Oh great....this will be fun...
