hello! this is my first AOS fanfic hehe :))
just a head's up, this fanfic will be canon-divergent and a bit alternate universe-ish. partly due to me forgetting/not knowing some details, and partly because i want to have headcanons to fit my OC better into the story and "give more personality" to the world/characters. this may include changing the fight in s2 ep 9-10 (when i get that far lol).
the biggest difference is the lore surrounding the firebird (i "created" new lore). i haven't watched/read any firebird-related theories and stories so any similarities you might spot are coincidental !!
although my notes at the beginning/end of the chapters will be typed in all lowercase, the story will be typed in the "standard" format (aka with proper capitalization and punctuation).
there will be gore and sword/magic-typical violence that might lean more towards the M rating, but i am undecided so i currently have that toggled off :)) i'll try to be diligent in putting the content warnings in the notes !!

Chae Min ho — Min ji's excitable and troublesome little brother, a budding mage educated mainly by his relatives
Chae Su rin — mother of Min ji and Min ho, youngest child of Chae Ha yoon and her successor
Chae (né Roh) Eun jung — Su rin's husband, from a family of mages turned merchants
Chae Ha yoon — the matriarch/leader of the Chae family with a grudge against other mage leaders
Maidservant Nam — the loyal Chae family maid, and Ha yoon's main confidant
