Hi. My name is Scarlet. This is the story of how my childhood got completely ruined. It all started when I was 6 years old...

I when I started school I had almost no friends. My parents didn't want to spend money on toys and i almost never got to play. I had to stay inside. My parents are weird. Like... They aren't like normal parents. They seem to don't really like me. Like they wished I'd never existed. Well, the friends I had was mostly guys. This was because I was a lot more tough then the other girls. I liked to play with toy cars and play football. The guys said I was cool. But one thing allways made the disappointed at me. I never wanted to play these war games when you "killed" echother and shoot with imagination guns.
-oh common Scarlet, it's just a game! That's what they used to say. 'It's just a game.' That's what I've been told my whole life.
-Yea, 'it's just a game', but what if it was real!? I used to answer. And they just looked at me.
-okay, fine. Go do something else then. They said.

As I grew older, my only friends started to disappear. They moved to other schools, or just leaved me behind and forgot about it. Mom and dad started act more and more strangely. One friend I still had, that was my little brother. I remember when he was born... I was 8 years old. Dad suddenly woke me up in the middle of the night. I remember it so well. He said mom had to go to the hospital. I asked him why but he said there was no time for explanation. He said I had to go to grandma's house. He ran out and I ran after. When I walked out the door he just drove off. Was I gonna have to walk to grandma all alone in the middle of the night!? Well, I waited at home for an hour but they didn't come back. So I decided to go to grandma's house. Grandma was the only one I really trusted at the time.

The next morning grandma woke me up. She had a happy look on her face.
-morning sweetheart. She said, smiling. I've made you some waffles for breakfast. Common, it's been a busy night. You should get something to eat. She smiled. I smiled back. I was really tried, but I was very hungry too. So I walked into the kitchen.
-do you know why mom had to go to the hospital last night? I asked. But grandma wouldn't tell me. I asked why and she said it was gonna be a surprise. I smiled. A suprise, huh?

Later that day the doorbell rang I went to open, and there in the door stood mom and dad, with a for once happy look on their faces. Mom carried something.
-Hi mommy! I said. Why did you have to go to the hospital? What are you holding? Why are you so happy?
-so, so, darling. Your mom is kinda tired. She need to rest. Dad said. Common, let's sit down in the kitchen so i can tell you. Suddenly the thing mom was carrying moved a little. I wondered what it could be. We all walked into the kitchen and sat down.
-you se... Dad said. You, Scarlet, has got a little brother! I jumped up.
-WHAT!? IS IT TRUE!? I shouted.
-sssh! Mom said. I looked at the thing mom was holding.
-can I see him? I asked.
-of course. Mom said. I walked over to mom. And there, in her arms, was my newborn little brother.
-awe, he's so cute! I said and poked his tummy.
-Hey! You little dumb kid! Don't do like that! Dad shouted. But my brother just giggles.
-what's he's name? I asked.
-it's Tom. Mom said with a cheerful voice.
-so cute! I giggled. My brother Tom! I was really happy. It was the best moment in my life. I'd never got a suprise before. And this was the best thing I could wish for! Maybe my parents are gonna change, and be more normal and start celebrate my birthday! I thought.
