Prologue: Taylor Who?

We just received news that many people where fans of a singer that never existed. According to fans, this singer goes by the name Taylor Swift, and they call themselves Swifties. Strangely these Swifties where able to agree that she had multiple albums and even able to name them. Some of the album names where 'Lover', 'Midnights', and '1989'. Apart from that the more astonishing fact is that they where able to name not just one, but several of Taylor Swift's songs. Some of them where able to recite complete lyrics. Which experts where able to determine her distinct writing style of imagery and metaphors. All evidence points away from the idea of this is just a well orchestrated prank. It was more than that. We interviewed some of the Swifties to find out what they think about the situation:

'I never imagined something like this would happen' 'I knew Taylor was too good to be true' 'Too much to take in. I'll just pretend she still exists'

Some who aren't Swifties are also shocked by this news. It was not because they fear for their relatives and friends but because they seem to have heard "Taylor Swift" releases at least once, and also hearing "Taylor Swift's" name many times over on the radio and from friends.

Is the world going insane?

Sciences and philosophers are hinting of a theory of a parallel universe. At the moment there is I way of proving the theory.

The government is asking all people who are believed that "Taylor Swift" existed to seek help immediately before the situation worsens.

Author's Note

I saw this idea on TikTok of what if Taylor never existed and thought that was the most interesting and crazy idea ever. And I instantly wanted to write a story into more details about it of what if Taylor doesn't exist.
