It's been a year ever since I got this stupid thread ribbon around my pinky, I don't understand, my mom and dad have their pinkies red strings tied together, meaning both are soulmates, heck, some people in my high school already found their soulmate, whilst mine isn't even connected, it's just a thread ribbon, it doesn't even have a loose string, but oh well, today is my birthday, I might as well wish for something, something that I've been wanting .
I get dressed while looking at my mirror, staring at the red ribbon, I know what I want to wish for. Right after they bought out the cake and sang happy birthday, I quickly wished: "I wish I had a boyfriend, a boyfriend that would make me ever so happy", and just like that, I blew the candles, and continued to party with the others .
After the night is over I sat down on my bed, and started to wonder, will my dream become true? Or will my fate is to be single forever, like how this red string destined me to be, if the red string really does determine everyone's fate and soulmates.
