First person pov- Winter

I can't let him kill him. My father can't do that, I love him. He protected me, he loved me, he was kind to me. Oh I'm so sorry I forgot to introduce myself. Hi I'm Winter Rafhomin, my father, as you may already know is the king of the elves. He had an affair with my mother who was a human. I was killed when I was born, and my father neglected me. You may also be wondering who the mysterious man I'm talking about is. Well let me tell you a story. One with adventure, danger, and even death but also love, and kindness.

We are starting a story with 'Once upon a time' in a land far far away. There was a human, and an elf. One was a king, and one was a queen. Both from two different worlds, two different kingdoms. Having to meet for a war agreement, they fell in love and had me.

When I was born, it was a sad day. Having killed my mother, my father neglected me, and sent me to live with the humans, in my mothers kingdom. He then married again, and had more children. Once I got older, the humans trained me to be a soldier, and a queen. Know that my father was the king of the elves. At 25, I set out to find my father, and this is where the story begins.

Third person pov-

"Your highness, a halfling is here, claiming to be your first born." A guard said, rushing in to the throne room. "What do you mean?" The queen said, standing up walking down the steps of the thrones, dress in her fist. "She is claiming to be the kings first born." That is when the king stood up, a panicked look on his face. The queen turned around on her heels. "Dear is there something you need to tell me." The queen says sternly. "I-I" he stutters, composing himself quickly he says, "Before you, I had an affair with a human. I do not believe it is her though. But please forgive my love." The queen turns to the guard, "Send her in please, I would like to see the girl." "Yes my queen." the guard says, walking back through the doors.

Leading in the girl, the guard bows. "The girl, my majesty." "Leave." she says to the guard, and walks to the girl. "What is your name girl." Her throat bobs, "Winter, your m-magisty." "Well Winter, are you hundred percent that you are ... his," she hisses 'his' through her teeth, pointing at her husband, "First born?" "Yes ma'am." Winter says, shoulders back, and head up, but she was still scared out of her mind.

First Person pov- Winter

"Well there is only one way to prove it" the queen says, turning on her heels. "What is that ma'am?" I ask, hoping it was something easy. "You will go on a quest, all the way to the east, then head north. You will feel like you're about to die, but if you are truly his daughter, then you will keep going. You will see a castle, facing north. You will go in and fight to the end. Go to the dungeon, and there you will find a half-orc, male. You will come back with him, in cuffs, and then we will kill him. He is a rogue, and dangerous. What do you say, Winter?" The queen sits and looks at her. I think about it. Could this be a trap? No, my father would never trick me, would he? "Yes I will see to it that he gets here, and executed." I answer, "if that's what it takes to get recognised for who I am." "It will darling." I bow, turn around, and walk out. Even if this quest kills me I will do it for my right to be the princess, even if I'm just half.
