Han POV

"And you will be joining us"

To say I was confused would be a mere understatement. "Wh-what do you mean, sir?" I asked hesitantly. "Let me explain a bit more about our institute before I come to your topic". He then, leant forward and let his elbows be supported by the table, interlocked his fingers and rest his chin on the bridge of his now, interlocked fingers.

I was getting nervous by the second. Sitting in front of such a respected person wasnt something that could be considered anything less then nerve-wrecking and all this talking wasn't helping with my anxiety. I continued fiddling with the rings on my fingers and shaking my legs up and down.

"All these ex-celebrities are doing pretty ordinary jobs over here, ranging from cooking to teaching to reception. You name it. Sounds pretty weird, but it is what it is." he started after a sip of water. Suddenly, the picture of the lady in the office popped up into my mind. How did I not recognise her earlier? That woman was in fact THE Sunmi. I mentally danced to Gashina.

"Are you aware of the concept of sasaengs or obsessive fans?" He asked me. I nodded quickly. "Our generation was easily one of the most popular generations in kpop, no doubt about that. And fame obviously came with its own set of hardships, that is, sasaengs. When we were active in the industry, there were bodyguards hired for us, to keep us safe and protected. They sucked at their job, not gonna lie" he whispered out the last sentence in a playful tone and gave a small wink. That was probably his attempt to make me loosen up. Whatever it was, it seemed to have worked as I gave out a small laugh, which was immediately followed by him laughing along, his dimples being on full display.

"But now, as ex-idols we don't really have security of any sort and hence, we are more prone to danger. The newer idols are  having a pretty hard time studying as there are always breaches of privacy taking place. There is just too much shit going on for me to be naming separately. Pardon my language."

He took a long drawn breath and dropped back on his very comfortable chair. "This institution prioritises the education of our students, in a way through which their idol activities aren't interrupted. Shaping the younger generation into capable idols, providing a livelihood to the older idols who have no other source of income as they were forced to drop out of school at a very young age, and ensuring the safety of everyone is the entire purpose of this institution"

All of this information definitely took a while to process. It is not everyday that you stumble upon a university filled with all the idols you have ever admired. He passed me the glass of water that was covered and placed on the other side of the table. "Thank you, Sir" I bowed respectfully. "You don't need to be so formal, Jisung. Everyone here just calls me Namjoon hyung. Call me that instead. Feel comfortable" he laughed loudly. "Yes, Namjoon hyung" I smiled

"You still look pretty confused. Ask me whatever you want to. I'm here to answer your questions afterall" he smiled

"Do my parents know about this whole thing?" I asked hesitantly

"Yes, they do. Me and your parents are friends, Jisung. I was the one who reached out to your parents to make them, make you join our university"

"How did you even come to know about me?"

"I found the videos that you have posted. Seeing your singing, rapping, dancing, playing instruments and the fact that you have written most of the songs that you sang, gave me a good reason to have you here. It was a coincidence that I know your parents"

"How are you so sure that no one will find this university? That no one will try to leak the information of the students or staff? Anyone can just walk in at any moment. How are you sure no one will get doubtful?"
