FLY ME TO THE MOON
The savoury aroma of the fried rice and hotdogs filled my nostrils that makes my stomach grumbled in hunger. I slowly get off my bed and stepped out of the room. With my eyes half-open, I saw him in the kitchen, and as usual, he's preparing for our breakfast.
Smiling, I sat on the chair, making myself comfortable as I stare at his well-built biceps. He's wearing a thin shorts and nothing on top but an apron only.
"Gising ka na pala", sambit nito habang nililipat ang kanin sa isang lalagyan, "Good morning, love."
He put the fried rice on the table together with the hotdogs, sliced-bread, sunny-side-up eggs, and a two glasses of fresh milk. He removed his apron —now, his totally topless. Oh, shit. Breakfast is good, hmm.
He planted a kiss on my forehead before going to his place.
I took the utensils and started eating, "kamusta tulog mo? Baka pinuyat mo na naman sarili mo ha." I said.
"Hindi naman, tinapos ko lang basahin 'yung reviewers ko tapos natulog na." He answered.
Clark and I stayed in one roof but we both agreed with the idea that we won't sleep in one room—in one bed until we get married, and it's also a big help for him to focus on his studies. He wants to be an astronaut, it took him several years to fit the requirements, and few years from now, I know he'll be on that shoe.
We're in a five-year relationship, he's actually 6 years older than me but despite that, we made it, not minding what other people say.
"Clark, gusto kong mag-aral ulit." I said.
He put down the utensils and gave me an intimidating look.
"For what, Ashley? Hindi ka naman magtatrabaho, 'pag nakapasok na ako sa NASA, sobra-sobra na ang kikitain ko para sa 'ting dalawa. Please, love. Ayaw kong mapagod ka." he replied.
I smiled, "Love, I want to pursue Law. Matagal ko nang pangarap 'yon."
He cupped my face, "hays. Fine. Pero 'pag napagod ka, tigil ha."
"Opo."
Clark will always be my greatest supporter, kahit na sa mga bagay na hindi niya gusto para sa 'kin, susuportahan niya parin ako basta't alam niyang ito ang ikasasaya ko.
Clark is a kind of man that everyone wishes for. A man who prioritize his dreams for your future, a man who's mature enough to handle a relationship, and a man who respect his woman.
He's currently reading his notes again inside his room. Holding a cup of coffee, I walk slowly towards him and put the coffee on his table. I hugged him from the back and kisses his cheek.
"How's my future astronaut?" I asked.
"Well, I'm doing just fine naman." He laughs, "You know what love, dati gusto ko lang maging Astronaut para sa sarili ko, pero ngayon, I found a reason, a great reason to be more focus on this."
"Why?" I said, and sit on the edge of his bed.
"Because of you. You love the moon, right?" He asked.
I nodded.
"I'll get you to the moon, love." He held my hand and kissed it.
Deafening noises filled my ears, I balled my hands in fist, trying to control my tears from falling but I failed.
"I have to go now. Mag-iingat ka rito." He said.
Clark have to move to U.S and get a green card there for him to be an American citizen. It left him no choice since it's the last requirement for him to be part of NASA's Astronauts. It might be hard for me, but it's his dream, and in all cost, I will support him.
