In a world once normal, the apocalypse fell upon it. Well... it was more of a secret vampire society, but I guess you could call it an apocalypse if you're dramatic. Basically, vampires slowly started to blend in with humans. It wasn't that big of a deal until they started killing people. Personally, i don't think it's that much of a problem since there are so many people on our planet already.
I think it's fine since I'm still alive. I'm a human, so I don't know much about vampires. The only things that I know about them are those things you read in kids' fairy tales : vampires have pale skin, sharp teeth, (maybe) red eyes, they suck your blood and that probably fake stereotype that they only wear expensive and fancy clothes. That one shirt you always see them wear... I don't know the exact name for it.
So, as you can tell, I'm not very informed about this species that has invaded our planet. No one seems to know where they came from, but google says that they came from hell. Google isn't always right.
Also, the time is currently 10:30 AM. Which means I should be in geography class right now. But I'm not. Instead of being at school, I'm sitting in my apartment. On my bed, more exactly. Reading a pretty good book. "No longer human" by Osamu Dazai. You probably heard of it, since it's pretty popular.
Forgot to mention, I'm at home because I'm sick, not because I'm skipping school. I got a high fever, so I stayed home. I made myself some tea and got a lemon slice on the side. I don't really like mint tea, but the lemon was worth it. I like lemons. Sour.
After i struggled a bit to finish the tea, I closed my eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.
