As I was sleeping, I heard a ring from my phone. I picked it up from my bedside table and stared at my lockscreen. No one called me, but I had two new messages from my friend Ater.
"Hey"
"I'm at the door, open up"
"Really...? But the bed feels so comfy right now...", I said with my husky voice. I groaned, got out of bed and headed for the front door.
As I opened the door, I was greeted with the sight of a pink haired girl.
"What are you doing here...It's literally 3 AM right now.", I said while looking at her with my half-closed eyes.
"I couldn't sleep. Anyway, I got you some things since i heard you were sick.", Ater said as she pointed to the bag she had in her hand.
"Can i come in?", she asked. I simply nodded and stepped to the side as she entered my apartment.
I went back to my room and threw myself back on my bed. Ater poked her head through my door frame. I quietly looked at her wide green eyes.
"Can I use your microwave?"
"Sure, just don't set anything on fire like last time..."
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be more careful!", she answered as she went into my kitchen.
I heard her take something out of the bag and put it into the microwave. After that, I heard her take something else out of the bag and then her footsteps came closer.
"I put some soup in the microwave. But while that is heating up, I got you some water and a cold compress for your head."
She set down the water on my bedside table and held the cold compress in her hand.
