Introduction!

Topanga, despite her unique name, is a normal girl. After moving from Boston, Massachusetts to London, England after taking a hiatus from her college education at the prestigious University of Oxford, the last thing Topanga expected was to cross paths with the world's most famous pop star, Harry Styles. But when a chance encounter at a bookstore brings them together, Topanga and Harry quickly realize they have little in common, and their first impression of each other is far from favorable.

Despite their initial animosity, Harry is intrigued by Topanga's refreshing honesty and lack of interest in his fame. As they begin to spend more time together, their relationship transforms.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Free Fall! This is my first time posting any of my writing so I'm a bit nervous but here we are!! I just wanted to do some housekeeping before we get started :) 

First and foremost, as I mentioned this is my first time publishing any of my work so pretty please be kind!! That being said, I love love love and appreciate feedback and I want to make this story enjoyable for readers (if there are any lol), so comments, questions, and suggestions are more than welcome but please understand some things in this story happen for a reason (yes, I am foreshadowing) which brings me to my next point!

At the beginning of this story, some of the characters are going to be absolutely insufferable but we're all about that character development so hang tight it gets better (for some of the characters...) 

Aaaand I wanted to add some trigger warnings. Your mental health and well-being is so important so please take these into account and take care of yourselves <3:

This story will include: 

-mature  themes of a sexual nature; chapters with smut will be marked with a "*"! (there will be a lot of *s)... 

-themes of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and PTSD

-there will also be underlying themes of abuse (physical, verbal, and sexual)

For ALL chapters with the aforementioned themes will be marked! Again, please, please, please take care of yourselves! Treat people with kindness (that includes yourself <3)!

Music will also play a huge part in this story! I will be referencing a lot of songs and albums and will link the songs for each chapter! 

Literature will also play a big role in this story! I will mainly be referencing A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, and If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin. There will also be small references to other pieces of literature but that being said: it is not important if you have read any of these books! They are just literary devices! If you understand the references that makes me super happy and will definitely add an extra element to the book but if you have not read these books it will not make things harder to understand!! It will all make sense no matter what. 

And the classic: This is a work of fiction. The celebrities mentioned in this story are used purely for entertainment purposes and have no relation to the actual individuals. The events and characters portrayed in this fan fiction are entirely fictional and should not be taken as a reflection of the real-life celebrities involved.
