what if i-

I am interrupted in my thoughts by Nicole who snaps her fingers in front of my face.

-Are you even paying attention to me right now? She said. You look like a 42 year old mom who forgot to pick up her child from school.

-You're not even funny. I replied, laughing. I'm sorry but what were you saying?

-Ugh, I knew it. she replied, rolling her eyes. I asked if you were still mad at Nico?

-N-no.. i mean yes, he clearly said that his not planning on proposing to me, not even to present me to his family. Even tho we've been together for 3 years. So yeah i am still mad at him.

She nods and takes a sip of her mojito, as I do the same.

Ever since i was a little girl, i have always dreamt of being a princess and finding my prince charming. I thought i had found mine, Nico.

You'll probably say that he doesn't treat me well, but he does. He treats me incredibly well.

He's always been there for me, always brought me everything i wanted, and i suspect him from wanting to ask me soon to move in with him. But what bothered me about our relationship is that on a random night out, i asked him if he was planning to introduce me to his family or propose, and he made it clear that he wasn't.

From that day on, i began to be distant with Nico, and he felt it.

He tried to apologize to me, but i couldn't forgive him. I may seem like a child, but i just can't.

So he tried many things to make me forgive him, he bought me many gifts, flowers, books and one of favorite chocolates, but he soon realized that there was nothing he could do.

-Ughh Emi! Yelled Sophie, learning a few glares from some people aroud them, but she didn't seem care. It's the third time you zone out! What's got you so busy?

I looked at her, hesitant at first.

-So, i've been a little too cold and distant with Nico the past few days, and i just..

-What?

-I just have a bad feeling, like i don't know what to do.

-Do you love him?

Her question made my eyes widen. Why is she asking me this question? Does she think i don't love him anymore?

-Of course i do! He's my boyfriend Nicole.

-And i'm your bestfriend. she said, raising her eyebrows. You two just seem..off.

-No, we're not. I replied, glaring at her.

She raises her eyebrows, then asks the waiter for the bill. I look in my bag for my card to pay, but on this occasion she was quicker.

After paying, we left the café and went for a little walk through the streets of the Principality of Monaco. Her phone rings, and she blows:

-It's luna, her little sister, she wants me to come home, she's not feeling well.

-Yes, yes, of course, go on. I reply, smiling at her.

I arrive in front of Nico's apartment, I hear laughter coming from inside, Sign that somebody else is in there. But I still knock.

Nico opens the door for me, and takes me in his arms.

-It seems like two years since we last saw each other, even though I saw you yesterday. i chuckle.

He laughs and holds me a little tighter.

-Come in and meet someone. He says.

I take off my shoes and go into the living room.

And as I turn my gaze to the figure sitting on the living room couch, my eyes meet those of a person I never thought I'd see in my boyfriend's living room.

Short chapter, i must say.

BUT. what do we think about it? It actually took me 3 days to figure out how this story will begin, but i enjoyed it.
