Back to Tiana's POV
It's 1 day til my birthday and I cannot wait. I have forgiven my mother since she apologised a million times. I never thought I'd say this but it was a bit annoying just listening to apologies after apologies after apologies. My mother decided to get me out of the house and make me go to the training ground with her. I've not been there since the incident. My knuckle is still sore and it's still strapped but luckily I can still play football. As I sit in the car driving down to the training ground my mother turns down the music and talks to me.
"Any ideas for your birthday."
"Nope."
"If you could do anything?"
"See Ram, Ped and Isa."
"Awh honey you know that can't happen."
"I know. *I sigh* Hmm how about. Nah nevermind." I stop I really have no idea what to do for my birthday.
"When you figure something out tell me. It is tomorrow remember?"
I nod my head. We finally pull up to the training ground. I go to the cafeteria like normal and sit in my normal seat by the window. I notice there's a lot of people in there so this time when I call my friends I remember to talk in Spanish.
"yooo mi gente" (yooo my people) I say into the call as they answer. They catch onto the Spanish almost immediately.
Ped: heyy *then he catches on* . porque la T española (why the Spanish T)
Me: no queiro que la gente se dé cuenta de lo que estoy diciendo (don't want people to catch on to what I'm saying)
Ram: qué estás diciendo (what are you saying)
Me: Que estoy aburrida y no tengo amigas aqui (that I'm bored and have no friends here)
Isa: awh nuestra chica nos extraña ( Awh does our girl miss us)
Me: más y más cada día (more and more every day)
Ped: Estas emocionada por tu cumpleaños (are you excited for your birthday)
Me: sí, solo triste, lo pasaré sin ti mucho (yes just sad I'll be spending it without you)
Me: miren chicos me tengo que ir te quiero todo. Hablar pronto. (Look guys I have to go. I love you all. Talk soon. They all say bye and hang up. Tiana looks up and notices that their are a few girls looking at me. As if on command Gio Queiroz started speaking to me.
"Forgot you lived in Spain for a while. I did aswell." She said to me causing me to smile remembering the interview I watched of her where she talks about her nationalities.
"Yeah I watched that interview with DAZN where you talked about your nationalities." I state.
"Little football fan I see."
"More like a big football fan" I reply but not finishing "only women's though I find men a bit overrated."
This causes Gio to erupt into fits of laughter causing heads to turn.
"Oi what's so funny over there?" Beth shouts as Gio tries to stop laughing but fails miserably. Gio just points at me and I shrug my shoulders causing Gio to laugh more. A bunch of the more senior players just stare at us confused while Gio keeps laughing. Eventually she calms down enough to answer properly.
"Tiana just said something very funny." She told the older players keeping them confused.
"I didn't say anything funny I was just telling you the truth." I reply.
"We will be the judge of that. What did you say kiddo?" Beth says as she jumps on the sofa which I was sitting on.
"I just told her that men were overrated." I replied causing Beth to laugh slightly and nod her head.
"She's not wrong. She certainly is not wrong."
