Y/N's POV:
My eyes slowly open. I look over to see Maria sleeping with her head on my chest. I see we're both naked.
Y/N's Mind: (blushes) So... I see last night wasn't a dream!
Her body is embracing mine.
Y/N's Mind: (blushes) Can't believe we actually did it.
Suddenly, I hear ravens cawing loudly outside.
Maria: (groans and yawns)
I feel her shifting awake. Her eyes groggily opens and she notices she's on top of me... naked...
Y/N: (blushes) U-Um, good morning.
Maria: (blushes and smiles) Good morning, love.
She crawls on me and kisses me.
Maria: We actually did it.
Y/N: Y-Yeah, still can't believe it.
I smile and kiss her.
Y/N: I'm glad we did though.
Maria: (smiles) I saw you needed it, and I wanted to do it. So, I thought why not.
I then think about what today is.
Y/N: Hey, you busy today? Want to go to the trial?
Maria: Tempting as it sounds, I have coroner duties today. So, I won't be able to see it.
Y/N: Ah, bummer.
She smiles and pulls me on top of her. She wraps her arms around my neck.
Maria: (teases) Aww, you gonna miss me that much?
Y/N: (smiles) What do you think?
She pulls me down for another kiss. Our lips make contact, and our tongues intertwine. We separate after a while.
Maria: We'll see each other later tonight. How does that sound?
I smile and kiss her neck.
Y/N: That answer your question?
She bites her lip and kisses my neck in return.
Maria: (giggles)
We get off her and lie down next to her.
Y/N: (sighs) Why do I have a feeling that today's going to be long?
She wraps her arms around me and rests her head on my chest.
Maria: You're the greatest detective I know. I know you'll make it through. And if not, I'm right there with you.
Y/N: (smiles) Thanks!
Small-timeskip, Maria's House:
Y/N's POV:
We're all dressed and ready to go on our day. Before I leave, I take out the binder that I got from Mia's Office regarding the Tragedy.
Maria: (curious) What's that?
Y/N: It's a binder that I found in Mia Fey's Office. She was looking into... the Tragedy of (Hometown). This binder contains everything she found.
