It was a cold winter day, I was walking at the beach taking in the cold breeze of air, making me shiver from the cold. I saw a cute coffee shop near by I had never noticed it before so I went inside. When I walked up to it I was greeted by a very nice waitress, she looked around my age but maybe a bit younger.

She walked me to my seat and took my order, which was a hot chocolate. While I waited for it I was observing the small shop, it was way cuter inside with warm lights, some plants and some couches. There were three tables inside and three outside, my seat was near the fireplace. As I was observing there was a guy, a pretty cute one. His seat was next to the window, the outside lights were shining on him, making him look dreamy. He was reading a book and drinking an.. ice americano?

"Damn this dude is interesting, drinking an ice americano in -4° temperature" I thought...

My thoughts got interrupted when the cute waitress came with my order, I smiled at her when I saw that the hot chocolate had little marshmallows and the waitress had also given me some biscuits with it. Even though I had such a good view from the fireplace my eyes always went to his direction.
He just looked too eye-catching. The way he spoke to the waitress, so lovingly and how he was only focused on the book.
I laughed to myself "imagine this idiot is reading one of those booktok books" I thought but actually it was actually 'crime and punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky

He looked like he was in his own little world like whatever he was reading it had teleported him into such of a peaceful atmosphere. And to be frankly I was jealous of that. His black straight hair falling on his face, his plump lips that he had in-between his teeth . He looked so peaceful.

I was so lost in thought from observing him that I totally spaced out staring at him probably for a long time..What made me space back in was his gaze on me and his smirk.
Making me have a tingling feeling in my stomach from embarrassment I looked away trying to hide my red embarrassed face. But that was interrupted when the chair in front of me was pulled out..

"Can I sit here, cutie?"
