The eyes of a Celestial

Prologue

In the darkness of the forest, small faint lights could be seen. If you are human, you might think these were stars or a distant town, but it was neither. What these faint lights were was something so beautiful that it couldn't be seen. At least not by human eyes. These things are called Celestial spirits. They come in many form, like Spirit guides or witches' familiars.

But that's not the important thing. What's important is that you listen to this story. Like most fairy tales, new and old, it starts with once upon a time in a place not so different from ours, called Solar Bay lived a girl named Jessie. Now she wasn't a princess or anything like that. She was just... Human, a human girl named Jessie.

Jessie wasn't special. She didn't have powers and didn't attract animals, but she didn't care. All she wanted was to be invisible, to sit in the background, to exist without interruptions. Jessie was an amazing person, but she was oblivious to love, and I don't mean she didn't know what it was. Jessie just couldn't take a hint that guys were in love with her, except for one guy, but not yet. That comes later.

For now, let's back track a bit, back to the forest and the Celestials. Where was I?....oh right, Celestials could be anything but what most of them were was careful. They didn't trust humans, they thought....no they knew if humans knew they existed they would kill them. So they hid, they hid in the forest, away from people. But even hidden, they had to know what humans did, so they sent their own to spy.

Their spies were scouts or even spirit Guides, sent to watch and even protect humans sometimes. There was one that was special, his name was Zen. He was sent to watch the humans as a scout but fell in love with a human girl, Jessie.

Now Jessie studied magic and became a witch when she got older, and that's how she knew what Zen was. But still, human and celestial love was forbidden. They could never truly be together, but they were in secret. They loved each other for years, and eventually got married and had a family. But it wasn't happily ever after.

Sometimes, it never is.

Jessie was burned for being a witch, and Zen couldn't leave their kids, so he took them. He calls his oldest a little girl with red hair and blue eyes, spiral pupils, and horns with a scorpion tail, Red.

And his youngest, a small boy with fluffy white hair with black stripes. He had pale red eyes with strange pupils, even for a Celestial who had any shape of pupil. His were in the form of a zig zag shape, which was strange. He also had a halo and small red horns. His tail was the shape of an ace. White, soft wings spread out behind him.

His name was unlike any Celestial in the history of time. His name was...
