Mentioning of Suicide!!!
Warning: Break down

"Hey!"

You turn your head and see Wanda making her way over to you. "You mind if I sit with you?" She questions softly. In return you shake your head. She carefully sits down to your right, her legs tucked under her body while she uses one arm to lean on.

She's looking out over the oceans and you hear a sigh escape her. You cock your head just enough to see her staring at the water in front of you both. "I love the ocean." She states softly. That peaked your interest a bit. "The ocean always seems like something of which you could escape to."

She whispers, "And I mean like in any way you wat." She ends with a giggle.

You let out a small smile, though it wasn't purely genuine, there was some sort of feeling there.

"What about you?" Wanda questions, using her elbow to gently nudge you. You gave her a glance before answering, "I've always loved the ocean."

"I lived in a beach house for a while in my early life so waking up to the ocean was something I got used to." You tell quietly, "It was.. somewhere I could go and really just sit down and not think about anything else in the world."

"What happened?" Wanda questioned, her attention now all on you.

"We moved." You sighed. "I was really sad. It took some time getting used to but eventually I did but any chance I got I made it my mission to come back here just to watch how the waves hit the shore." Your voice was still quiet.

"This is actually the first time I've been to the beach in like a year." You admit, a sound coming from your nose that resembled a chuckle.

"Why's that?" Again Wanda's asking. She was surely chatty, or nosy, whatever you wanna call it. But the beach was something you didn't mind sharing about.

"Well to be honest I don't even know." You answer truthfully, gently scratching the side of your thigh. "Jackson was afraid of the water." You state, not fully registering that you spoke his name and strangely didn't feel upset that it rolled off your tongue. "So we'd usually go vacationing someplace else." Wanda nods with a soft smile.

"You miss it," She states and you only nod.

"I miss a lot of things."

Wanda's mouth parted in a frown as soon as that left your mouth. She knew the feeling all to well. "It'll get better, Y/N." She whispers, her hand now on your shoulder. "I know it never feels like it will, especially right now, but it will."

You nod, though you didn't believe a single word she said. Actually, there was some belief in there, but it wasn't enough to help bring you out of the overwhelming pain.

It didn't feel like there was much of anything that could make the pain go away.

But then you look at Wanda.

She's smiling, laughing, carrying on taking care of her kids. All while still grieving the loss of her husband, her children's father, her best friend and yet.. she's here having a conversation about you telling you how it gets better.

She's here even after openly admitting of wanting to end her life just to be with him again... She's still here.

That's what made you want to believe that eventually you'd no longer feel the pain of the loss you've encountered.

You give her one more look before forcing a smile. "If you say so," You try to say as gently as possible, not wanting to seem rude for not believing her. Wanda only smiles back, like she understood. Of course she did. She's been here.
