Introduction

In the dark ages, a royal family once ruled their nation. They had a son, Prince Roland, who was a young man who had some issues with responsibilities as an heir to the throne. He loves hunting, riding his Clydesdale around the forest trees with an arrow in hand, hunting whatever woodland creatures he needed.

He didn't hunt as a sport, not even for food. He wanted to learn more about the outside world other than the castle and the forest grounds. He had only learnt and heard about the outside world from others which have been outside of the castle, including his older brother who died in the land battle half a score ago. After his brother perished, he has discovering creatures

One day, whilst hunting as a young adult, he came across another person in the forest. Out of curiosity, he wandered towards the person. He noticed a beautiful young maiden wearing a black cloak, watching him. Once she was discovered watching him, she ran away. The prince did not understand why she was there.

The young maiden was an orphan girl who lived in different villages scavenging for food and shelter. The Mainlands, also known as the Royal's Village, was the safest place to be; no droughts, no fires, no shortage of food and many creatures to hunt.

One day she was questing for food when her eyes suddenly met the eyes of the young man and the bow and arrow. Out of shock she dashed without a second glance. If he were to go after her, he had a horse; another reason she wanted out of the forest... for precautions.

She had returned to the village in a sprint, only to find a kerfuffle happening with several people arguing and bickering over something... after overhearing some words shared, she discovered that the village wants new rulers, especially since the fine young maidens of the town were rejected by the prince because he is not ready for taken a maiden as his wife, but they do not agree with that. They feel like as a young man, and being ready for battle, he should be preparing for royalty and taking over for his parents.

The aging king and queen with their only child not wanting royal duties only leads to a village becoming unsuccessful. The young maiden understood now, the plentiful forest belonged to the castle, and the young man was Prince Roland himself.

They wanted to force Roland to take over for his parents, even if death was involved. She felt entitled to warn the innocent prince she has only glanced at for only a moment, as she noticed his venerability and lack of knowledge for the outside world.

What shall she do?
