"Oh my god, I'm actually so excited!" I looked over at my best friend, "I know!! I swear I'm going to be singing the reprise forever!" Penni giggled as we walked up the steps, "Good luck Cora, I really hope you get it."
Me and Penni were both trying out for Belle at our summer music program. They were doing Beauty and the Beast, which has always been my favorite Disney movie.
As I opened the heavy metal door I started shaking, it was just now dawning on me that I would have to audition. I had been to quite a few auditions, and quite a few shows. But my confidence could still use some work.
I took my seat next to Penni as the director called up the first audition, "Alexander Hart?" A tall figure slowly stood up and walked up to the stage, "Hello, I will be auditioning for Prince Adam." The director nodded, signaling for him to go on.
Oh my god he's so cute...

He's Penni's childhood friend, we are NOT breaking the girl code like that.
I'm thoughts are interrupted by a tap on my shoulder, "Cora?" Penelope asked, "He called you. Break a leg." I nodded, as I nervously walked up the stairs to the stages
"U-uh hi, I'm Cora Elrod, and I will be auditioning for Belle." I gasped, Be confident or fake it.
"Oh is he gone? He asked me to marry him! Can you believe it? Me! The wife of that boorish, brainless! 🎵Madame Gaston, can't you just see it? Madame Gaston, his little wife (ugh!) No sir, not me, I guarantee it! I want much more that this provincial life!🎵 I felt myself slip into the music. My hands unclenched, my shoulders loosened, my eyebrows relaxed, 🎵I want adventure in the great wide somewhere.. I want it more than I can tell... And for once it much be grand, to have someone understand. I want so much more than they've got planned!!🎵
