EXT. MAIN ROAD FOREST, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - DAY
Claire drove her car and traveled to his Boyfriend Owen's construction house.
EXT. OWEN'S CONSTRUCTION HOUSE - DAY
Claire arrived in Owen House where Owen is constructing his working progress house.
OWEN GRADY
(Singing)
CLAIRE DEARING
"Hey, Owen."
OWEN GRADY
(ignoring Claire and Singing)
CLAIRE DEARING
"Owen!"
OWEN GRADY
"Oh, boy."
CLAIRE DEARING
"Hi."
OWEN GRADY
"Back for more, huh?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"Can I buy you a beer?"
OWEN GRADY
"You mean bring 'em, or we gonna like, go somewhere?"
INT. BAR - DAY
The scene takes place A couple of people are playing billiards and most of them are drunk, Owen and Claire are talking about something but suddenly Claire laughs really hard.
CLAIRE DEARING
(laughing)
"Seriously? I can't believe you think that you left me!"
OWEN GRADY
"Replay that conversation in your head, all right? You said, "You wanna go live in your van like a bum?" "Go ahead, Owen." And I said, "Okay!"
CLAIRE DEARING
"So how is that you leaving me?"
OWEN GRADY
"Because you left. I left you."
CLAIRE DEARING
"You left, because...I told you to."
OWEN GRADY
"And then, I left. Because you didn't wanna live in a van on the side of the road."
CLAIRE DEARING
"No, no, no. Because you wouldn't let me drive the damn van, for 5 minutes."
OWEN GRADY
"I'm chivalrous. What can I do?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"You are so stubborn."
OWEN GRADY
"Well. Look at you now. You're saving the world. Well, I'm trying, at least."
CLAIRE DEARING
"You can't just run away from everything, Owen."
OWEN GRADY
"So, you're what? Dating an accountant now? An insurance actuary? Your skin looks nice. Dermatologist?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"Owen?"
OWEN GRADY
"Does he check you for moles?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"Stop."
OWEN GRADY
"Ventriloquist?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"This is not why we're here, okay?"
OWEN GRADY
"Yeah, I know why we're here. Lockwood's little flunkie called me. Rescue op. Save the dinosaurs from an island that's about to explode. What could go wrong?"
CLAIRE DEARING
"I'm going."
OWEN GRADY
"Don't!"
CLAIRE DEARING
"I don't have a choice."
OWEN GRADY
"What, of course you have a choice."
CLAIRE DEARING
"So what, I should just... Build my own cabin, play pool and drink beer all day while these dinosaurs go extinct?"
OWEN GRADY
"Yeah. I like pool."
CLAIRE DEARING
"Blue is Alive."
OWEN GRADY
"Jesus, Claire."
CLAIRE DEARING
"You raised her, Owen. You... You spent years of your life working with her. You're just gonna let her die?"
OWEN GRADY
"Well, yeah."
CLAIRE DEARING
"Come on. You're a better man than... you think you are."
OWEN GRADY
"You should write for fortune cookies."
CLAIRE DEARING
"Forget it. I... There's a chartered flight leaving tomorrow morning."
Claire is left the bar, and Owen is finishing his beer and wondering what will he do about Claire.
EXT. OWEN'S CONSTRUCTION HOUSE - NIGHT
Back at Owen Contraction House, Owen watches one of the recordings from when he raised Blue and three raptors and trained them to be neutral to Owen's relationship.
OWEN GRADY (O.S.)
"You're on the manifest. I just thought I should let you know."
INT. OWEN'S RV TRUCK - NIGHT
Owen continues to watch one of the recordings. On record video we saw Owen feeding the raptors at The Nursery Pen.
OWEN GRADY (ON RECORDING VIDEO)
"Back up! Back off. Take it easy. Echo. Jeez."
OWEN GRADY (O.S.)
"There's plenty of food."
OWEN GRADY (ON RECORDING VIDEO)
"You guys been eating sugar or something?"
Then we saw Blue having respect to Owen.
OWEN GRADY (ON RECORDING VIDEO)
"You're hyper today. Okay, okay, back off. Thank you, Blue."
Blue keeps the raptors calm and respectful of Owen, who has formally become the pack's alpha.
OWEN GRADY (ON RECORDING VIDEO)
"Did you get that?"
Owen then realized in the recording something changes his mind and plans. On Recording Blue is looking in Owen's backpack for something.
