Rare beauty in the North...
Wind danced through the meadow below. Its invisible fingers weaved through the tall grass making patterned waves. A perfect green sea.
She's the finest lady on earth...
The soft nickering of foals filled the air as they sought out their mothers before prancing towards them on long graceful legs.
A glance from her, the city falls...
A gentle voice fluttered out over the meadow. Its owner relaxed in the sunlight on a grassy hill, watching as the horses grazed and moved around.
A second glance leaves the whole nation in ruins...
Long honey brown hair streaked with grey twirled casually in the wind around the small woman as her fingers subconsciously played with the grass that tickled her bare legs.
There is no city or nation that has been...
Her dull grey eyes told a story of hardships, pain, and loss. The life of a soldier forever bound to war and death.
More cherished than a beauty like this...

Sweat trickled down Xue Xing's pale cheek as she raised her twin swords again. There was no way she would back down from the Tiger General Even if he could kill her and make it seem like it was all an accident. Charging, her blades clashed against his long bladed spear. She quickly ducked under his weapon and rammed her shoulder into his chest. Only to fail.
From a distance it looked as if they were dancing a dance of death. The way they easily dodged each other's thrusts and slashes. One lithe body fighting against another. It was a beauty in its own creation.
Finally, the girl dropped her swords to the ground when the sharp tip of the spear pressed softly against her exposed throat.
"Do you yield?" The man asked a smirk playing on his handsome face. Xue Xing sighed, slowly raising her hands. She hated the fact she was beaten once again by the Dragon of Changshan.

Zhao Yun chuckled at the frail looking girl before him. He for one knew her looks were deceiving. The frail structure she sported and the innocent air that surrounded her was enough to fool anyone into thinking she was a weakling. But when it came to fighting, she put all of it to good use. She was prideful, yet kind hearted. Willing to help anyone who needed it, was what earned her the title-White Goddess. She always put her comrades well being above her own. Ruffling her long honey brown hair, he turned away from her heading back to his tent.
He heard her let out a tired huff before collapsing onto the soft grass. With the next battle he worried even more for the girl Kai Lee and he took under their wing.
Xue Xing sighed as she watched puffy white clouds float across the clear sapphire sky above her. Today had been a long day. This last training session with Zhao Yun had left her drained. He never went easy on her. That was one his and Kai Lee's rules. They wanted her to be able to fight to the fullest measure and improve her skills until she could beat them. She was still no closer to beating either of them though. Would she ever be able to fight the enemy?

"Silver for your thoughts." A male voice call off to her right, propping herself up on her elbows she glanced that way. It was a Wu soldier she had ran into when Lord Liu Bei of Shu first arrived in Wu. Ling Tong if she remember correctly.
"I'm not really up for sharing those." She muttered as he came and sat beside her. Seeming not to, care she was covered in sweat and dirt or the fact her hair was slowly working its way out of the ponytail, he plopped down beside her sending a charming smile her way.
Ling Tong was quite handsome and he seemed to know it always using his looks to get some of the servant girls to sway for him or chase him. She had even heard some of the female villagers whispering about him. Honestly she didn't see why girls were so obsessed with him. It was kind of annoying when girls flocked to a guy and flaunted themselves about just to get the guy's attention.
Realizing she had been staring Xue Xing quickly turned away. Wu men really weren't her type.
"So... What are you doing out here by yourself?" Ling Tong asked trying to strike up a conversation with her. Which confused her why was he even trying to talk to her to begin with?
Xue Xing looked at him before shrugging her shoulders, "Relaxing I guess..." She muttered not liking the fact she was alone with a man from Wu. Even if Shu's main camp was a few yards away.
Pushing back a stray strand of hair she stood and dusted off her green and white leggings she bowed slightly to him. "I am sorry for rushing off Master Ling Tong, but I must see if I can help any in camp." she explained while bowing repeatedly. Her timid nature getting the best of her.
Ling Tong seemed disappointed by that and quickly stood. "Mind if I accompany you?" He smiled that disarming smile yet again and all Xue Xing could do was nod shyly.
The camp was quiet as Xue Xing and Ling Tong made their way through. Soldiers moved by them hardly sparing even a glance at them. Not even caring now that a Wu soldier walked through their camp. Though that part maybe because of the alliance Wu and Shu now had. Its funny how when someone has a common enemy they join forces in a heartbeat even if they may one day be at each other's throats. Its odd how fate comes to play in life and war. How no one can really have friends cause you never know when you are going to loose them.
That was how Xue Xing always felt. She was afraid of the day she would lose Kai Lee or Zhao Yun or even her own life to battle. At Chang Ban when she had to help the peasants escape her mind had been somewhere else. Off with her friend and mentor praying for their safe return and when Zhao Yun came back bloodied up and his horse bleeding heavily from spear wounds she feared the worst.
Luckily the blood wasn't his and after a good few herbal paste his war horse was back in action. But it still unnerved her to no end. The what ifs always played in her mind of what could have happened if he hadn't been so lucky.
So drawn up in her thoughts Xue Xing failed to notice one of the tent pegs. Before she realized it the worlds was blurring by her as she fell towards the muddy earth. A pair of strong arms halted her downwards plument. Looking up at Ling Tong she smiled sheepishly up at him and quickly righted herself out.
"Sorry, Master Ling Tong." She bowed once again, already feeling extremely bad for causing him an inconvenience. His laughter caused her to look up at him with a puzzled expression.
"You moved so gracefully when sparring with the Dragon of Changshan. I thought you had grace and elegance but maybe I was wrong." Xue Xing scowled at his words and quickly turned away from him not liking the fact he was laughing at her even more now. She felt the hot salty tears prick at the corners of her eyes and quickly ran the back of her hand across them to try and stop the tears from falling.
Ling Tong seemed to realize error and suddenly choked up, nervously scratching at the back of his neck he held up his hands in surrender, "Sorry, Xue Xing." She quickly casted a glance at him before walking away. She was done with men for the day.
