After what felt like forever, the class was finally over. The bell rang, and everyone grabbed their stuff and left. Though, I waited a moment or two to avoid getting run over by the stampede that was exiting the classroom. When I finally exited the classroom I was greeted by Gwen and one other person.
"This is Ruth! The one I told you about a second ago!" Gwen had the biggest smile on her face as she was signing to her friend. This girl had curly blonde hair, hazel eyes, and pale skin. She wore a long white dress decorated with sunflowers. It reminds me of the dress my mother wore on our summer trip when I was younger. She also had a sunflower messenger bag that slung across her body. She also spotted these cool sneakers; they had small drawings on the white parts. It kind of bothered me, but at the same time, it looked so detailed and so cool. So, I can't really get upset.
"Hello! My name is Jennifer, call me Jenny! I'm Gwen's best friend!" She offered her hand for a handshake. I just stared at her. She waited for a moment before retracting her hand. Her cheeks were dusted with a soft red color, almost pink. She was embarrassed.
"I'm sorry. ...Uhm-" she drew in a deep breath and scratched the back of her neck, she seemed tense. Is she intimidated by me?
"So are you new..?"
I nod.
"Oh! Uhh- neat! Really neat! Me and Gwen can show you around later! You can meet some of our friends and everything!"
I gave another nod.
She finally relaxed, she examined my figure, taking notes of my appearance I assume.
"...You like sneakers too? You have a pretty neat pair!" She seemed desperate to start a conversation. I just nod, tilting my foot to the side to show them off to them.
Gwen clasped her hands together and smiled. She seemed to like them. Jenny just nodded.
"Soo... Who do you have next hour?" Gwen looked up at me. Her big emerald-colored eyes shimmering.
I pulled out my schedule from my pocket and handed it to her. Jenny peeked over at the schedule.
" 132... ...Ohhh, you have Mrs. Harris. She's... Mean." Jenny cringed, clenching her fists. "She was so bad for me, I and to switch my class! It's why i don't have her anymore. I wish you luck. But you do have a class with Theo! He's really nice! You'll know exactly who he is when you see him! He just... looks like a Theo!" Jenny's expression softened; her thin lips curved into a smile. "Just tell him you're my friend, and that I sent you. He's pretty hostile at first but I promise it's just a front! He's really sweet."
Jenny looked like she had more to say but when she looked up at the time all she had to say had been forgotten.
"Uh oh! We've got to go! Or else we'll be late! We'll see you later!! Bye!" Jenny grabbed Gwen's hand and ran off. I was left alone to find my way to the classroom.
I didn't even get to say goodbye, i wish i could communicate.
