Author's Notes:

- I don't own anything in the music video above it's just what the story is based on.

-I'm going to throw in my own twist that wasn't in the video to make the story more interesting and intense. I really hope you enjoy it! ^_^

"You arrive in the rising sun" ~Pendulum

My eyes shot open and I gasped for air. I felt like I had collapsed or fainted to the ground. The ground was a hard little sand pit under me. The shape of my body fit perfectly into the pit.

I pushed myself up. As I stood my body shook. I had bruises and scratches but they didn't hurt. I had a strange white jump suit on. It looked ragged. It was a perfect fit. My hair was pulled tightly back into a pony tail. Suddenly I realized the extreme heat of the sun. The suit seemed to cool my body to keep my temperature in check. I took a deep breath. The air was dusty and dry, like in a dessert.

Then I stood there for a moment taking in the surroundings. I was in a barren wasteland with rolling hills that seemed to never end. The sun was just peeking into the sky turning the sky into oranges and pink.

Questions buzzed through my head. Can I talk? Who am I? Where am I? Where did I come from? Are there other people? Are there any close cities or towns?

I tested my speech for the first question saying it shakily. "Where am I?" My voice was higher pitched than I thought it would be but at least I know I can talk. I climbed up onto a hill and peered at everything around me. Field, field, and more field. Wait a second. Another person in a white jump suit. "WAIT!" I screamed but it didn't stop so I went.

My body seemed built for this. My feet pounding into the ground and my leg muscles tensing. My head tucked down for aerodynamics. It was an all out sprint but the other person was to. Everything passed by me quickly. When I say that I mean grass and hills. I didn't stop for anything. Sweat starting to build up but my suit stopping it as quickly as it could. My body didn't get tired for a while surprisingly. I suddenly realized I had lost who I was chasing.

I kept running for about an hour hoping to find the person again. I never did so I paused for a moment when something flashed to my side. It was quick and very bright. I spun toward it. Racing toward a disc shaped object in the distance flashed. I raced toward it.

"What are you waiting for, As we go toward the light" ~ Pendulum

It was about two feet long and hovered about a foot off the ground. I reached out to touch when suddenly I was engulfed into a whole different place. At first all black then speckles of light filled the room filling it and turning the place white. Suddenly the whole world around me flashed again and became a mirrored room. I saw myself naked but it was me it had to be. I tested myself. Flailing one of my arms and seeing if the girl in the mirror would copy. It did and then I was sure.

I was thin and had straight brown hair that came down to my hips. I had vibrant green eyes that shone like emeralds. I couldn't have been older than eight teen years old. I was pretty built and had powerful muscles. I noticed my right arm was still reaching forward as if still reaching to touch the disc. I tugged my arm back and I tumbled backward seeing the desert world come back to me.

I looked up to see that person again and was off. What made me so tempted to get to this person. Maybe my questions or maybe their questions but whatever it was I was going to find that person. Night began to loom over me but I didn't want to stop. Not now.

I suddenly tripped and rolled down a steep hill. Rocks cutting into me. I finally reached the bottom. The ground was different here. Cool and damp. I peered up and saw a small pool. I smiled and quickly began to drink the water. I was probably dehydrated and needed it. I saw myself again in the pool I reached my hand in again when suddenly I was sucked into another world once again. It was the mirror room but there was a voice. Robotic almost repeating the same thing. "S-T-O-P" Stop? Stop what? I decided to ask. "Stop what?" it replied "P-A-R-A-D-O-X" What paradox? I haven't seen a paradox. This was way to weird for me and fell back into reality.

I saw that person again and was off. Did the mirror mean to tell me to stop running?I'm way to confused someone needs to tell me something now. That person must know something to help me.

"Looking for answers, if only one!" ~Pendulum

Daylight hit my back. Dawn was approaching and warming the air. I already felt sweat on my fore head. Suddenly I saw her just standing there not even five yards away from me. She suddenly collapsed. Was it heat stroke? I rushed to see her when suddenly I saw her laying there. Where I started. Then I realized that was me. How could it be me? There's no possible way. Suddenly I heard heavy breathing behind me. I turned.

Another me. A clone that did the same thing as me. She ran, I ran, and the other me ran, We were all just chasing each other. I peered back at the first me she had awoken and didn't even turn to face us. She saw another clone in the distance the one I thought was her. I wanted to cry when suddenly everything from that day flashed before my eyes and I collapsed. That voice rang out into my head one more time.
