The following day, it was Merideth's birthday. Everyone greeted her nicely as they were expecting to get invited.
"So where's the party?" Niña asked sassily.
"Oh, well my mom and dad arranger a private dinner for the family. So I'm sorry girls." Merideth lied just to keep her fake status.
"Okay, enjoy your night girl. Happy birthday!" She then kissed her cheek.
"How about you treat us lunch?" Jennt asked.
Merideth was sweating. She was put in a hot situation.
"I-I have a lunch date with-"
"With?" Niña asked.
"W-With Isaiah." Merideth blurted his name.
Isaiah who was studying for the long quiz was shocked and so is Audrey. But he knew he shouod not react in a bad way as it would only humiliate her.
"Oh, looks like something's going on between you and the hottie over there." The girls giggled.
"Didn't know you had a date with you." Audrey teased Isaiah.
"I-I'm also surprised." He whispered back.
Lunch time came. Merideth was clinging to Isaiah.
"Thanks for saving me. You can spend your lunch alone." Merideth smiled at him.
"I'm not a jerk for dumping a birthday girl. My treat, though don't expect fancy foods. Your date's not a rich guy." Isaiah said.
Merideth's face immediately brightened.
"If you say so, won't argue." Merideth smiled.
The two of them ordered boba milktea which Isaiah didn't like because it was too sweet and two carbonara which was Merideth's request.
Merideth was busy taking pictures of their cute date.
